charlotte's point of view

"come ooooon," christopher whined. "we have to go to a club today, it's our only free day here." he pouted.

i felt a slight deja vu, like i had experienced this before somehow... oh yes, that one time i almost hooked up with richard. why didn't we? and why am i hoping that we hook up tonight?

good afternoon, beautiful
just got to california 😉

oh my god that emoji is so creepy
anyways
are you free tonight?

already want to take me for dinner?
i still don't even know your name

meet me at los globos 😛
tonight at 10

sound like a serial killer

maybe i am 😘

what am i going to wear? should i do an extra makeup or a natural makeup? should i wear lacy underwear or a thong? black or red?

i looked up only to find christopher narrowing his eyes at me.

"who are you texting?"

i blinked. "no one." i smiled sweetly at him.

he narrowed his eyes even more, i thought they were closed. "i hate that i know it's a lie but it looks like the truth."

i bit my lip. christopher could read me like a book, we were raised like siblings after all.

"it's just a guy..." i looked down. "we met at a club, the last time we went, remember? well, we hit it off and coincidentally he's in cali..."

more like i feel like he's stalking me and there's absolutely no coincidence about him being here too, but you don't need to know that.

"...so i invited him tonight." i finally looked up at him. i didn't realize i was smiling until chris smirked and raised an eyebrow.

"you must really like him, because you hadn't told me anything about him and i asume you haven't done a background check on him because you usually would ask me for it."

i groaned internally. i did forget to do a background check on him, but to know his parents were behind my parents' attempt of assassination was more than enough for me.

"i know all i need to know for now." i said, getting up. "you can help me with that when we're back, yeah? i'm gonna get ready for tonight."

i ran to my room, which thankfully had a bathroom attached to it, so i wouldn't have to face christopher until we had to leave.
