X A Mechanic
I knew who I was going to choose. I knew it all along, all I had to do was choose.
I grabbed Ben's hand. There I'd done it. Relief flooded his eyes and disappointment filled my mothers and Poe's and Finn's and Rey's. And Rose, all of the resistance looked deflated. "Maybe one day you'll realise why," I muttered and stalked off the my ship. I cast a glance to Ben. "I'll meet you there,"
"You will give her to me, whatever it takes I will have her, have no doubt about that," then Kylo Ren returned to his ship and flew off.
"The Supreme Leader isn't here," General Hux looked smug.
"I know,"
"Then why are you here?" General Hux didn't try to hide his annoyance.
"I'm waiting. He'll be here in a minute," Hux looked surprised.
"You know that I can't allow you to remain here, you are not part of the First Order,"
I was about to interrupt him, but it was then that my brother arrived. The General hurried over.
"Supreme Leader, your sister is here-"
"I know,"
Hux didn't bother to hide his shock, "You did?"
"Yes, and from now on she is a member of the First Order and you will treat her with respect,"
"She's what?"
"Pay attention Hux! She's a part of the First Order now,"
"But-but, how?" He spluttered.
Ren sighed, "General Organa forced her to choose a side, she chose us, end of story," Hux was stunned. "Go back to whatever you were doing, Hux," Ben enveloped me in a hug. "Come on,"
"We're the same height so these should fit you," Ben handed me a pile of his clothes.
"I have my own clothes you know, for starters I'm wearing some,"
"Those are filthy and the rest of your clothes are in a pile on floor in the ship, you can wear them again when they're washed,"
"They're not that bad!" I looked down at my grey shirt and trousers, they were stained with mud and oil and there was some blood on the left sleeve. "Okay, maybe they need a rinse,"
"Exactly, now go put these on,"
"But, they're yours!"
"Yes, and like I said before you're the same height as me!" He sighed, "Quit complaining unless you want me to put you in stormtrooper armour,"
I huffed, "Fine!" I grabbed the clothes and slipped into the bathroom.
"Why are they so stiff?"
"They're not that bad!"
I rolled my eyes. "Let's go then,"
"Matching outfits, hm?" Hux smirked.
"I'm borrowing them because apparently my clothes are too dirty," I gave Ben a dirty look. He sighed. It was then a silver armoured stormtrooper walked in.
"Aelin, this is Captain Phasma. Phasma this is my sister, Aelin"
I nodded politely. Phasma did the same.
"So, I need to fill you in on our current plan and then-" I half-listened to Ben.
"Supreme Leader, if you don't mind my saying so," Ben sighed, "Are you sure it's wise to fill her in when she's only just joined?"
"She just betrayed her own mother and the whole of the resistance, I'm pretty sure that she's on our side,"
"Just to be certain-"
"I am certain, Hux," Hux looked defeated, "You are on our side aren't you Aelin? Aelin?"
"What? Oh yeah I'm pretty sure," I came to my senses.
"Pretty sure?" Hux raised his eyebrow.
"Totally sure," I grinned.
We sat down at a large table. Phasma removed her helmet to reveal a head of curly blonde hair. Ben told me all about their plot.
"Any questions?"
"Yeah, uh, when do I get my clothes back?"
Ben dropped his head into his hands. "Any serious questions?"
"I am serious!"
He sighed, "Any questions about the plan?"
"Nope,"
"Nothing at all?"
"Nope, all makes sense to me." He looked at me in disbelief. I sighed, "Okay, so the ship your planning on using? It has a weak point at the base, around the front left corner, the fuel hatch is there and if it was hit the heat from a photon cannon or even a blaster would... anyway the point being it's an easy target, one hit and...boom."
"So we need a better ship,"
"No, your ship's perfectly fine it just needs modifying,"I told him.
"And you can do that?"
"I'm a mechanic aren't I?"
