XVI     A Wrench Bouquet

"That, is phenomenal and so are you," Hux said as we watched my little droid perform different tasks.

"Complimenting me now, are you Armitage. Careful or someone might think we're friends," He laughed. Then, Ben walked in.

"Aelin, I am truly sorry, so I got you a wrench bouquet and a new chainsaw,"

I grinned "Thank you, Ben, but in future, know that all you need for my forgiveness is sincerity, you don't need to buy me things,"

"I'm sorry, really,"

"I know,"

"Well, I'm glad all your sibling drama is cleared up, we can all get back to work now," Hux stepped in.

"Let me... go put things away," I held up the collection of wrenches with various flowers and the massive chainsaw.

"Not a normal girl to buy for, are you?" I smiled and walked from the room.

"You are going to train Rey in use of a saber," We were sat around the familiar conference table.

"Why?"

"Because you are clearly the best saber user here,"

"Why?"

"Because you- can we not do this today?" Ben saw through my joke.

"Why?" I persisted anyway.

"Aelin! I'm your boss, that's why,"

"Why?" Ben just sighed in response. "Fine, I'll do it,"

"Good, now-"

"Hang on, isn't the whole point of having a Padawan that you train them yourself?"

"She's not my Padawan,"

"I'm not his Padawan," Rey clarified.

"Thank you for clearing that one up,"

"What if I don't want to be trained?" It was Rey's turn to ask annoying questions.

"Then you can sit in your cell until you change your mind," Ben stared at her. She flinched.

"Fine, then I don't want to be trained,"

"Right, that's it. I don't need to be here," Hux got up, clearly frustrated. AS-405 beeped.

"I know you don't want to be here, neither do I," I looked at the little droid. He beeped some more "No, you'll break something,"

"If you refuse to co-operate then you will stay in a cell until you change your mind,"

"Or, I'm rescued,"

I cut in "You're not being rescued,"

"Yes, I am. They're coming for me, they won't leave me behind,"

"They might come- if they're stupid and then they will be captured and that will be the end. So, you better hope they don't," I was done with this conversation, I went to join Hux in the command room, AS-405 was right behind me.

"Right, so, if Ren is named after some Kenobi guy who are you named after?"

"No one,"

"So not only did you get the weird name, it doesn't have much significance in history,"

"Says you Armitage, besides I like being unique," I paused "Ben's middle name is Chewbacca,"

Hux burst out laughing, "Benjamin...Chewbacca...Solo!" He took a moment to calm down "What about you?"

"My middle name is Padmé,"

"Of course it is,"

"What's your middle name,"

Hux sighed "Theodore Florent," It was my turn to laugh hysterically, "I had three uncles called Armitage, Theodore and Florent,"

"Wow, just wow,"

"I think it's better than General Nuts,"

It was then that Ben marched out of the room, Rey in tow. His eyes were stormy. I sighed and gave Rey a look telling her she really should of given him what he wanted.

"There goes another console," Hux muttered.

"What was that General?" Ben's voice was low.  He grabbed Hux in a Force choke.

"No- nothing, sir," He wheezed.

"Alright, that's enough, Ben," He ignored me. "Do not underestimate to power of an assassin that hand will be off in seconds," that seemed to get through to him. He stopped. "Thank you," I grabbed Rey off him and walked to the door.

"Where are you going?"

"You need to calm down. I'm putting Rey in a cell and upgrading the security, your welcome," I pointed at my laptop sitting on the main console. Ben threw it to me. "Let's go unfortunate one,"
