XXII A week with the rebels

The first three days passed slowly. Although, after much debate, I had been allowed to stay I was not privy to their plans. I eavesdropped anyway. From what I got they were planning to head to Canto Bight and purchase more ships and fuel. With what credits I didn't know, but they were going to do it. I was pretty sure it was sometime next week, but it might have been in the next few days. Not if I can help it. Of course, there was a tiny seed of remorse buried in my gut somewhere, but ignored it. I had to. On the fourth day, I was allowed in the meeting room. Not that they were discussing anything important. I wasn't really paying attention, something about food and distress calls. All their meetings were recorded anyway. Idiots.

"Aelin? Aelin?" My mum was looking at me an dPoe waved his hand in front of his face.

"What?" It came out snappier than I meant it to be. "Sorry,"

"The plans. You said you had them?"

"Some. I have some," Everyone looked at me.

"Well?"

"Ben is training Rey-"

"He's forcing her?" Finn was concerned for his friend.

"It's a bit complicated, when she first got there she wouldn't train, so she was locked up and then one morning I walk in and apparently she's agreed to train. Anyway, Ben is training Rey and there are plans to build a new Starkiller base, I think,"

"You're not entirely sure about this?"

"No, it's just an idea,"

"Do you have any solid plans?"

"I don't get told stuff until either the day before or if I'm needed for something,"

"What exactly do you do?"

"Mechanic because the people before me were fools, nuisance,"

"Nuisance?"

"Sit around, get in the way, tell people to do it themselves unless I know they are completely incompetent or it involves complicated machinery and or blowing stuff up. I upgraded the security system and locked everyone out. That was funny,"

"Can you upgrade our security systems?"

"Do you not think I would have done it by now if firstly, your computers weren't so damn old and I had my laptop?"

"She has a point,"

"Okay so, I wanted to clarify the plan for next week," Guess I'm getting all the details, no fuss "Finn, Rose, Poe, Aelin and I-"

"Aelin?!" Rose interrupted "Excuse me ma'am but don't you think that... no offence Aelin,"

"None taken," Rose had had suspicions this whole time.

"It's only a few ships, right? Not like the fate of the resistance depends on it," Poe stuck up for me, guess we were still friends.

"We're mostly stuck here aren't we? It kinda does,"

"I'll go if you want me to, but if you don't...then I don't mind. I get it,"

Day five, the day I would betray their trust once again. Most of the rebels still didn't trust me and rightfully so, but Poe seemed to put his full faith in me and I felt kinda bad. No matter what I did he always seemed to think I could come back.

"Aelin?" Poe startled me out of my thoughts.

"Yeah?"

"I'm going to teach Finn how to love,"

This took me by surprise "Oh, really?"

"About a month ago Rose asked him out, but two weeks later she got frustrated and let him go,"

"Why?"

"Because he doesn't know how to love, I figured Stormtroopers don't get to feel that. If they're taken a birth and trained. I reckon they don't know what it is, so I'm going to teach him,"

"He deserves that and I think you're the best person for it," we walked in comfortable silence for a minute "Are you- are you coming out to me?"

He scratched the back of his head, "...Yeah?"

"Ha! I'm ten credits richer! Or would've been... But, good man. Good for you," I lowered my voice "And for the record, I ship you two,"

"You do?"

"You were made for each other," I grinned at him. And then, everything went to hell.

Shoutout to MeekyC2306 and Unicornlover342 for being great friends and giving me ideas. Love you all xx
