XX   For Starters, You Need an Actual Lightsaber

"Aelin, I want you to training Rey with a lightsaber today,"

"No," I continued to work.

"Why not?" Rey asked.

"For starters, you need an actual lightsaber," Silence from both as they realised I was right "See? I'm always right,"

"Fine, Aelin we need some parts,"

I made a mocking meh sound "Aelin do this, Aelin I want that, Aelin don't do that," I said in a crude impression of Ben. "Whatever, let's go,"

I threw various parts around the room. "Catch," I threw a switch at Ben and then a bag of screws at Rey, it her in the head. Whoops. I picked various other parts out and scattered them on the desk "You can use these, but have you considered modelling it then (3D) printing it using carbon fibre, that's what I did," Rey looked at me like I was speaking an alien language and Ben looked at me like I was a mad woman. Oh well, he's gonna think what he's gonna think. "Or not. You can do it the traditional way. All I'm saying is sometimes we need to let the past die and move on,"

"Right," Ben gathered up the parts. "Come on, Rey. You're training starts now,"

"Not like your training her the traditional way anyway," I muttered after they left.

A few hours later I marched into the control room. Ben and Rey were sitting at a table with the parts, Hux was looking out the massive window and the officers were doing whatever they actually do around here. I I looked around and said, rather louder than necessary "I have a cunning plan,"
