Chapter 9: Practice

Clarysse's POV

Nainis na naman ako sa ginawa nyang pagsusungit nung araw na 'yon pero binalewala ko nalang, atleast I was there to support him.  Naalala ko ang sama ng tingin nya sakin, hindi ko naman ininda still I managed to  greet him afterwards.

"Good Job, Garreth! I know they'll choose you, you're so good. I'm so proud!" Bati ko sa kanya.

"Why are you even here by the way?" He retorted. The last person I'd like to see is you, why bother came here, just to give your support? I don't need it. I could get the spot, no doubt. Wala ka bang importanteng ginagawa sa buhay mo? That even Saturday you're here?"

" I just came by, actually I was just finishing a project, I heard that you auditioned that's why I'm here. Wala naman sigurong masama kung pumunta ako dito at i-greet ka. I answered in a cool tone though sa loob ko nasasaktan ako. Wala naman akong ginawang masama. Daig pa nya ang babae kung tumalak. Grr!

"It's just coincidental, some of my friends auditioned too so gusto ko din sila panoorin, don't be harsh!"

"Why not greet them instead? I don't need your cheer anyway. No offense meant, Clarysse  but I don't like you, your personality stinks!" He left, I was dumbfounded.

It hurt to hear those words coming off from his mouth, masyadong nakaka-degrade.  He's stuck in the past and that's very pointless. Nakakapanghina ng guts. Naubos ata lahat ng nakatago ko sa sinabi nya.

Ayaw ko pang magising sa realidad na hindi nya 'ko gusto pero ngayon pa ba naman ako susuko? Ngayong nasa malapit lang sya? Sabi nga nila try and try until you succeed, and yeah I should follow that old saying, besides wala pa naman talaga akong nasisimulan, pero sa gestures na pinakita niya though minsan, not directly parang masakit na. Noon naman, okay lang sa'kin. Siguro nga, when you fall, you hurt.

Almost a week had passed at naging busy ako sa lahat ng projects ko, kasama na din don ang pagtugtog ko sa foundation pero di ako nawawalan ng oras para kay Garreth.

The day after the audition, I saw a post on the bulletin board that he was chosen as the band's lead guitarist.  Ang saya ko, Yun nga lang ang daming babae'ng kilig na kilig sa balitang 'yon.

Mahirap kayang maging ultimate- female fan nya, oo na-sense ko na sya talaga ang pipiliin ng banda  and I was not wrong. 

I was always there when they have practice or gig pag may program sa school, minsan sa auditorium, minsan sa school park.

I knew he could do it, ang problema ko lang ngayon nagiging sikat na sya sa buong school and that thought alarms me, alam ko namang sa charm palang nya eh hahabulin na sya ng lahat lalo na ng mga babae. Although alam ko naman na I belong to the elite circle for being beauty and brains, still marami paring magagandang babae sa school. well,  If I have to go and beat them, I will. 'Wag lang syang mawala sa paningin ko.  After all, mas lamang ako sa iba, I knew him since time immemorial, our families are good friends and I have connections with them eversince then. Mahal ako nina tito at tita, so kung sila ang papipiliin to be Garreth's girl, then that would be me, the one and only Clarysse Aragon!
