Jordan Maston POV
As we waited in the elevator to reach the top floor, I was fidgeting with my fingers and bouncing slowing up and down on my feet. Everyone had to stay down stairs, so I was standing in the elevator alone with Eli. the elevator seemed to be taking forever. Eli stood in front of me, growling lowly in anger. Probably because his nose and face was still sore from my outburst last night. Even though he deserved it, like Seth and Belle said. I don't care-okay well I do care- what happens to me but my parents don't deserve any of this. in this moment I will find out why the hell I am here and what they want from me. the elevator music was starting to get on my nerves.
"how many floors are there?" I mutter to myself.
"Enough..." he seethes at me. "maybe he'll let me throw you off the roof..." He proposes to himself.
"Asshole" I mutter.
Eli Spins around and grabs me by the collar of my shirt pulling me off the ground, far enough for me to remain somewhat standing on my tiptoes.
"actually, let's get off at this floor, I have something to show you." he hisses at me and let's go of my collar as the elevator door opens. And Eli pulls me out with him.
I was dragged down a dark hallway, unable to really see anything in front of me, and the only thing that suggested that I wasn't alone, was Eli's nails that were digging into my skin, almost making my arm bleed. He abruptly stops and I crash straight into his back.
Motherfucker...
He's made like a brick fucking shit-house.
Asshole.
my inner monologue, thoughts and consciousness need to tone down the swearing, I'm getting the urge to punch him again.
Eh...it wouldn't be that bad of a thing to do again.
but my poor hand!...
He turns around slowly to face me. Before he forcefully shoves me into the cold room. It's pitch black and I can't see a foot in front of me. Suddenly the lights flick on. And my heart breaks. Laying there in a bloody mess is my parents. Every essence of what I am fades away, and I feel empty.
"you should have listened to me" Eli whispered into my ear. As my face became enveloped in hot tears.
Then everything went black.
*****
I woke up sweating, my breath hitched in the back of my throat, tears streamed down my face. I couldn't see in front of me, the lights were off, and my eyes were wet with tears.
"Angel?" I hear a voice say in the dark as the lamp in the other side of the bed, turns on, and a dull yellow illuminates the once dark room.
I turn my head slightly to see a weary eyed Miles staring at me.
"what happened?" he asked. His eye were filled with worry, while he was shirtless.
"Eli...Parents...k-killed?" I asked in a whisper.
"hey, it's okay, it was a dream" I said as he pulled me into his warm embrace. I wrap my arms around his neck and rested my head in his shoulder.
"it's going to be okay." he says as he strokes my back.
