Mason Kane

Miles was meant to be here last night, and he wasn't answering his phone. I called him so many times but I think he was ducking my calls. I sent out a mass text to Leo, Marco, Sam, Derek, Evan, Jace and Tom.

Meet in my office now.

roughly 15 minutes later everyone shuffled into my office. Sam glared at me in anger for sending Jordan away. Evan refused to look at me. Marco, Leo and Jace shuffled in and sat down on one of the couches. Sam and Evan sat down on the other one and Derek sat beside them. Tom stood beside the couch. Tom was Miles' older brother. Thomas Carson, he was 28, four years older than Miles. I stood up from my desk and walked over to the lounge suites.

"Where the hell is Miles?"  I ask, more like demand.

"What do you mean?" Derek asks.

"He was meant to be here with a private meeting with me last night, he's ducking my calls and I haven't heard from him since yesterday morning." I say angrily

"No clue." Jace states.

"He hasn't really spoken to me since you sent Jords away." Marco states thoughtfully.

"He'd been working out down in the gym, apart from that I have no idea." Sam says failing to meet my gaze.

"Leo?" I ask.

"I don't know." he shrugs.

I turned around and began walking back to my desk. there was silence.

"He's with Jordan."

I turned around and stared at Tom, who was playing with his nails, not looking at me.

"What the hell do you mean he's with Jordan?" I demand.

"She called him last night, how do you feel that you sent your Pregnant  sister away" he states distastefully.

"Pregnant?" I ask.

"Pregnant?" Leo echoes.

"Jordan is pregnant?" Sam asks looking at Tom.

"Yes. she'd been having morning sickness for the past week. Oscar got her a pregnancy test and she called Miles almost straight after, he packed up and left yesterday, he should have landed and been almost at the safe house by now." Tom says.

I opened and closed my mouth. trying to make words come out, unsuccessfully.

Shorty is pregnant? I'm going to be an Uncle? I cant be a good uncle... I kill people! I'm hardly a good brother. I sent her away. But to keep her safe. she probably hates me...

*Ring Ring*

I felt my phone buzzing in my pocket. I pulled it out without looking at the caller and answered it.

"Hello?" I ask

"Mace?"

"Shorty? I'm Sor-"

"What did I tell you about apologising to me?" she state rhetorically. I smile, at the sound of her voice. I looked over to the others with wide eyes looking at me. I sighed. "Hang on, I'll put you on speaker, everyone else is here." I say and put the phone on speaker.
