Chapter 6

Cam's POV

Right when we got there, I told Mags to go sit on the bleachers while I warmed up. Before she left, she gave me a tight hug, like it was the last time she was going to see me, and wished me good luck. I ran over to where my team was. I was kinda late because I stopped to get Maggie Starbucks, so I made sure I got right to work.

My best friend, Danny come running at me. We've been friends since 4th grade, and I love him like he's my brother.

"Hey Cam!" He said

"Hey man! What's going on?" I asked him, but he wasn't paying attention. I looked to where he was looking. I saw him staring at Maggie in awe. I hit him to get his attention.

"Huh? oh, what? Um, nothing really. Hey, uh do you know that girl?" He asked while pointing to Maggie.

"Yeah, I know her. I was the one who brought her here."

"Well, she's smoking ho-"

"Don't." I said cutting him off. I stormed off, but not to far to still hear "Woah... someone's grumpy." I was getting so jealous and I didn't even know why. It's not like Maggie's my girlfriend. She probably doesn't even see me more than a childhood friend.

Maggie's POV

I watched as Cam ran over to his team. Damn, he looked GREAT in baseball pants. I mean, I'm pretty sure everyone does, but Cameron, he worked them. I snapped out of my deep thoughts and looked over to where Cam was. I saw a dark haired, tall, muscular boy pointing at me. He was actually kinda cute. I smiled, and he smiled back. Then, I just saw Cam yell at him and storm off. I hope every thing is okay.

* The game *

I was watching the game, and I was surprised how into it I was. I did play softball two years ago, but chose not to do it anymore. My coach back home was really disappointed on me because he thought I was a great player. Suddenly, a blonde girl with blue eyes sat next to me.

"Hey! I'm Erica. You must be new here."

I nodded.

"So, what's your name?" she asked

"umm... oh uh Maggie." she laughed

"You sure about that?" she laughed again "Maggie.... I never liked that name I always thought it was the stupidest name."

Well, that was rude...

Just then Cam hit a grand slam, and our of no where Erica screams, "YAY CAMMY! THATS MY BOY!"

What.. Her boy?! Why didn't cam tell me he was dating someone. I just wasted all of these feelings on a guy who's taken. How could I be so stupid?!

Erica's POV

I got to Cammy's game, and saw this pathetic girl who looked really deep in thought. She had the ugliest loose curls. Her eyes looked like a couple of blueberries. Can you say hideous? Oh my god she's so unfortunate I figured I would brighten up her day and sit next to her.

I decided to mess with her, so I decided to be super fake. "Hey! I'm Erica what's your name?"

A whole bunch of um's and uh's came out of her mouth. Then, finally She said her name was Maggie. Ew. 1) What pathetic idiot would forget her own name and 2) That name is disgusting. What were her parents thinking. I spoke my mind. Her face was priceless. Then, I saw her looking at Cammy bat. Her face lit up when he hit the ball. This is getting too easy. Its so fun messing with her. "YAY CAMMY! THATS MY BOY!" Her face oh my god HAHAHAHAH. This is going to be a fun summer.
