Chapter 14

Maggie's POV

After the movie, Cam and I just sat and talked for while. Suddenly, it went completely silent. Neither one of us were speaking. I decided to break the silence. "Do you think we could do something today?"

"Of course! Wanna meet my friends?" He asked clearly very excited.

"Umm.. Yeah sure... That sounds um... fun." I didn't really want to go and meet Cam's friends. You see, I'm very awkward with strangers. If you think that if I tried maybe I wouldn't be.. you're wrong. Trust me, I have tried very hard. All that happens is I don't make eye contact, and a bunch of um's and uh's come out. It's bad.

"Are you sure? I don't wanna make you go if you don't want to."

"No.. I want to. I wanna meet your friends." I lied.

"Okay, I'll text them and ask them what time we should come over." He said sounding very unconvinced.

"alright, I'm going to go get ready." I said while getting up.

"Nooooo! Maggie please stay. I like when you lay on my chest." he wined while grabbing my waist and pulling me down.

"I like laying on your chest, and listening to your heartbeat, but Cameron?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you want to be late?" I asked realizing that it's going to take me a while to get ready.

"Well... no but-"

"No buts! I'm going to get ready." I pecked him on the cheek and slipped out of his arms.

"fine..." he sighed. I went to the guest room, and took my clothes out of my suitcase. I still haven't unpacked yet... whoops. I went to the bathroom and turned the water on. Making sure the water temperature is just right, I got in. While massaging my head with shampoo I started to think. What kind of relationship do Cameron and I have? Are we just friends? Are we something more? I don't know... I guess the answer will come sooner or later.

I finished up my shower, and got out. I changed into a white crop top that said "You are my sunshine" and black shorts. I picked up my black vans, and put them on. Then, I went into the bathroom and dealt with my hair. I just made a waterfall braid, and let the rest down. I applied mascara and eyeliner. I don't really need to put on concealer, so I skipped that part.

I walked back into Cam's room. His mouth made a sideways oval shape. (I didn't know how to describe it lol) "Wow... you look stunning..." I smiled. "Thank you Cameron." He got up from the bed, and came over to me. He put his hands on my waist, and I wrapped my arms around his neck. "Anytime Maggie." I pressed my lips on his. In my opinion, it was the best kiss we ever had.

"So... Am I your sunshine?" I looked down at my shirt, and smiled.

"You're my sunshine." I kissed him one last time.

"Did your friends text you back?" I asked wondering how much time I have to eat.

"Yeah they said in about 15 minutes we could come over.... but that was like 10 minutes ago, so... yeah we have 5 minutes." He said figuring out the math.

"Oh okay, so I wouldn't have time to eat?" I asked kind of disappointed.

"Grab an apple. Then, we can go." He suggested.

"Good idea!" I ran downstairs and grabbed an apple. When I walked back to the front door, Cam was already waiting for me.

"You ready?" he asked with his hand already on the door handle.

"Um.. yeah I think so... do we need a car?" I asked not wanting to walk.

"Nahhh he lives down the street." He asked smiling. So much for the idea of not walking.

We walked out the door holding hands.

Cam's POV

I'm so nervous. I'm planning on asking Maggie to be my girlfriend on our walk. We probably should've taken a car, but I wanted this to be special. We started walking, and we were just asking each other about our favorites.

"Oh I have one what's your favorite ocean?" She asked me. That's such a random question... I love it!

"Definitely Pacific." I said pretty confidant with my answer.

"Lammmme"

"What? No what would you say?" I said very curious.

"Arctic."

"Um why?"

"Because I like being original."

"Good reason." It was a good reason. It's good that she's okay with being weird and original.

Okay.. it was time. I couldn't wait any longer. "Hey Mags?"

"Yes Cams?" I chuckled

"I have to ask you a question."

"shoot." she said cutely.

"Okay here it goes, I know we just reconnected and we only went one date but I always had a really big crush on you when we were little. You are beautiful, funny, sweet, and just perfect. So I was wondering... Maggie will you be my girlfriend." I am so nervous what if she says no... that would be so embarassing.

"Cameron, of course I will be your girlfriend! I was hoping you would ask me this is so great!" she was so happy. I am so relieved.

"Yay! okay but since were together we both have to promise to always be honest with each other okay?"

"Yeah of course."

"Okay.... do you really wanna meet my friends?" her mood changed.

"Uh.. not really.." She said seeming like she wasn't sure if she should've told the truth.

"Can I ask why?"

"it's nothing really... I'm just really awkward around strangers." she confessed.

"Oh well don't worry! I'll be right there next to you. When you feel awkward just tug on my shirt, and I'll either start a new conversation or answer for you." I figured this would help her out.

"Thank you." she said and I nodded.

"Hey Cam my legs are getting pretty tired I thought you said it was down the street."

"Yeah I lied it's like a mile from my house. Do you want a piggy back ride?"

"Yes please." She was so cute. I'm so happy she's now mine.

Maggie's POV

"Yes please." I am so happy he asked me is I wanted a piggyback ride. I mean, don't get me wrong I'm ecstatic he asked me out, but this just adds to it.

We walked for a while, then I realized that Cameron lifted me up a little on his back so I was higher up. "Sorry for being heavy.."

"You're not heavy at all. Actually, you're incredibly light." I smiled.

We finally arrived at the house. I jumped off Cam's back, and we walked to the front door. He rung the doorbell. A boy with piercing blue eyes, and dark brown hair with highlights opened the door. He was pretty cute actually.

"Hey bro! What's up?" He asked cam.

"Nothing much bro! This is Maggie. She's my girlfriend." I smiled and saw the boy looking at me.

"Hey Maggie! I'm Nash." He said holding his hand out for me to shake.

"Uh... Hello." I said awkwardly as I shook his hand. See I told you I was awkward.

"Alright well come in guys. The Fam are all in the living room."

We walked to 'The Fam' and when we got there I couldn't believe what I saw.

Erica was sitting next to a boy with his arm around her. She looked surprised when she saw me, but then she just gave me an evil glare. I don't think I'm going to like hanging out with her...
