Previously in Childhood Friends:

"so maggie.. I was thinking.. Maybe we should get our own place." He said almost like a question. This is a big step. Are we taking things too fast? What about his mom? So many questions lingered around in my head. How would this turn out?

Maggie's POV

"This is a big step Cam... Are you sure about this?" I asked putting my utensils down.

"Yeah we would have alone time and we wouldn't have people barge in on us! It will be perfect! Unless... you don't wanna live with me alone..." He explained developing a sad tone at the end.

"No that's not it at all! I love you Cam. You know that. I just- I just don't wanna be the person to make you leave your mom." I said holding his hand.

"You won't be. I asked you. Please, I love you and I wanna be able to wake up to you every morning and kiss you in privacy." He admitted. I was convinced. If Cameron would really leave the home he grew up in for me, then he must really love me.

"Okay." I accepted. he squeezed my hand three times. I smiled and squeezed his four times.

"Come on! Let's go tell my mom!" He jumped up with excitement.

We walked into the living room and there, in front of us was Gena.

"Hey Mom? Can we talk about something?" Cameron asked.

"Yeah sure honey! Take a seat." She ordered. We sat down on the couch while Gena was in the chair across from us. Cameron probably realized that I was nervous because he grabbed my hand with a tight grip.

"Mom. I think it's time I move out." He just came out with it. Alright. That's one approach. Gena looked hurt. I felt bad for her. Her own son basically told her that he didn't want to live with her anymore.

"Oh um... okay. I don't think it's a good idea Cameron." She answered.

"Why not?" Cameron asked confused.

"Because you are too young to be living by yourself." She said sternly.

"No I'm not! I'm 18 which, might I add is considered an adult. Besides, I won't be living by myself. I will be living with Maggie." Cameron said looking at me lovingly.

"I don't think so. I am not comfortable with you two living together. After what I saw today. It seems like you two do that a lot. So that's it. Cameron you are staying home with me. And Maggie you can find a friend to stay with."

"Mom! you can't just kick her out! Where is she supposed to go!?" Cameron stood up yelling at his mother.

"Yes I can. See if she can stay with The Griers." She responded calmly yet sternly.

"But-"

"End of discussion, Cameron." She cut him off and went up the stairs.

"Maggie, I'm so sorry she said that in front of you. She doesn't have to know you are staying here." He told me.

"No Cameron. I don't want your mom hating me. Obviously this is my first choice to stay, but I will stay with Nash if I have to."

"But... I'll miss you." Cameron said with a sad expression.

"I'll miss you too, Cameron. I love you. Don't forget that." He didn't say anything he just wrapped me in a tight hug filled with warmth.

Gena's POV (lol this is new)

"I'll miss you too, Cameron. I love you don't forget that." Maggie told Cameron.

Maggie was the sweetest girl Cameron has ever dated. I was listening to their conversation at the top of the stairs. Cameron even told her that she could stay here without me knowing. Maggie refused which tells me something about her character.

Maggie values my decisions. She cares about what I think about her. I like that. In fact, I've always liked her ever since she was Cameron's best friend 10 years ago.

Maybe, I was a bit too harsh on them. I mean, I used to do things like that all the time. I'm being way to hypocritical. I'll tell them later, but before I do anything I am ordering a pizza and taking a nap.
