Chapter Seven: So.. Not Just wings, huh?

Recap: My smile slowly faded as I saw the dangerous glint in his eyes as he took another step closer to me. I wasn't sure what he was going to do.. Would he kiss or kill?

And now, Chapter Seven ;)

Archer took another step closer, I watched him as he approached, he looked like a predator stalking his prey. Each step was so silent, so graceful, it was like watching a cat.

The fluttering in my stomach grew more intense, each step closer made the pull to him even stronger, like a rope tugging me. That pull was becoming stronger, making it harder to think rationally as I closed the last step between us and crashed my lips on his.

My mind exploded, it was like every fear, every pain and sorrow, were just melting away as our lips fell into sync.

Archer pulled me closer to him, if that was possible, and our bodies simply molded together, like my body belonged and fit perfectly as he wrapped his arms around my waist. Hastily, I threw my arms around his neck and winded my fingers in his soft hair.

Archer let out a soft moan as I deepened the kiss, allowing him to explore my mouth with his tongue. I bit back my own moan because he tasted so sweet and tangy.. like lemonade. Suddenly he broke of the kiss and was standing a few yards away, his eyes dark and pained as they yearned for more.

"I-I-I can't do this, they wont let me protect you if I get involved." He choked out then punched the tree, just as fast he was back in front of me with his hands gently holding my face. "I have to protect you, I need to." Archer let go of my face and stared into eyes "What are you doing to me Avalyn? In all my years on earth, and that has been a sufficient amount of years," He said with a bitter laugh "But it all those years, not once have I met someone that I wanted so bad. It's like I can't go one minute without having a thought about you." He rested his forehead against mine softly before meeting my eyes then turning away.

"I-I-I," I stuttered "I want you too.." As soon as the whisper left my mouth Archer was there, meeting my lips with his own, kissing me with a hungry passion. His hands trailed down to my waist and slid under my ripped up shirt and explored my waistline and back with his warm, soft hands. The contact sent sparks throughout my body that forced my wings out of my back once again. I felt Archer grin against my lips as I mentally kicked myself for lack of control.

"They're beautiful you know," He whispered in a deep husky voice as he kissed my neckline, "But they don't stand a chance with you in comparison."

"Well isn't this a sight to see." A voice I knew all to well blurted across the clearing, a voice I had yearned to here for a long time, but now, at this moment, it made my hair stand on edge.

It was Aaron.. Shit, I was dead for sure this time.

"You filthy snake!" Aaron yelled as he threw yet another tree at Archer, who much to Aaron's dislike, easily avoided being hit.

"How dare you touch MY sister!" Another poor tree flew across the clearing. And why you might ask, was I not trying to stop him? Because I already tried, yelling and asking for him did no use, the only thing it did was strain my voice.

"You-you-you fucking asshole! You were like my brother, you were my family!" Contact was made. I tried to scream, but all that came out was a gurgled noise. Aaron's eyes were as wide as saucers as he stared down Archer, almost like he hadn't expected it to hit him. But I saw Archer flinch, and his body go rigid when he yelled that, he let the tree hit him.
