Chapter Five: Pain In The ...
~Nova's Point Of View~
"Hey, isn't that Archer? Should we ask him if he wants to jo-."
"I swear to the almighty power above, if you ask that Ass-Hat to join us, I will personally make you die a slow, painful death." I growl at Kaycee, who had insisted we sit together at lunch. Surprisingly she didn't object, just looked at me funny.
"Ohhh-kay, do you want to sit with Jace?" She asked with a large smile. That was Kaycee, five foot flat, big smile, bright brown eyes, long blonde hair that touched her waist, and a body so slim, a Victoria's Secret model would be jealous. Especially if they saw how much she ate.
"That, I can handle." I told her as she hurried off in Jace's direction. "Helpmepleaseshe'skillingme." I mumbled to Jace while Kaycee blabbered to Ashley about a purse. He chuckled and shook his head.
"Let me finish eating." Jace said as he stuffed his roll into his mouth, I shot him the most grateful look ever and drank my lemonade. "Hey guys, Nova's going to take a look at my car for me, okay? See you next block." A few girls glared at me, but for the most part they said their goodbye's and we left the lunch room, but not before I caught the dirty look Archer was throwing at Jace. But changed it to a grin and approached us.
"Sup' man?" Archer asks as they do a little hand-shake-fist-bump-chest-pound-back-pat-thing.
"Heading to the parking lot, going to take a look at my car. Nova here is going to tell me what's wrong with the bugger." Jace told Archer with a grin, Archer raised an eyebrow at me.
"If you can fix cars, why don't you work at your dad's shop?" Archer asked curiously.
"I did. But he wont let me come back." I answered shortly, Jace laughed loudly.
"Wasn't it because you were under a car and you got frustrated and you accidentally kicked the Jack so the car fell on you? How many ribs did you break? Two, three?" Jace asks turning to me with his eyebrows raised.
"Four." I say, grinning proudly. He chuckles, and Archer looks at me with a mysterious glint in his eye.
"Well, you should stop by the shop sometime, I'd be glad to let you help me work on a car." Archer says with a wink, Jace was biting his cheeks, obviously aware of how much I hated this guy.
"Ha! Does that line usually work for you, Ass-Hat? Because I've got news for you, I'm not some blonde bimbo, and I sure as hell am not going to fall for this whole facade." I say motioning to his whole body. "See you around Ass-Hat." I tell him as Jace and I walk off.
"Ass-Hat?" Jace asks suspiciously.
"Don't ask." I say with a laugh.

Archer kicked the wall angrily. What the hell? Who does she think she is? He and Aaron were definitely hanging out today. Archer dialed the number faster than he could blink and put the phone to his ear.
Aaron picked up on the second ring. "Aaron, it's me. Mundanes can't see my tattoo right?"
Aaron hesitates before answering. "Yeah, that's right. Why?" Aaron asks, Archer could hear the smirk in his voice.
"I'm coming over today." Archer growled. He heard Aaron roar with laughter as he clenched his fist.
"Turned you down didn't she?" Aaron asks, still laughing. Archer snapped the phone shut. How could she turn him down so easily, but walk away with Jace. He sighed. Archer opened his phone back up and sent a txt to Jace.
