Chapter Twenty-Three : Maybe We Should Take A Break

Walking in the food court.

Justin by my side.

Jade by his.

We waited hours until Justin's break to clear up the air.

To clear up the misunderstanding between Jade and Justin.

Yea I know the food court wasn't the best place but it's all we had.

At least it was quiet.

There were only a few people there.

We sat down at an empty table.

Justin and I sat next to each other while Jade sat across from us.

You could feel the awkwardness in the air.

No one looked at each other.

I looked straight down.

Avoiding both Justin and Jade's eyes.

Jade looked at her nails.

Her pink nails she must've have recently gotten done.

Jade really didn't seem like Justin's type.

But then again I don't think Justin had a type.

As long as she was a girl nothing else mattered to him.

At least that's what it seemed like to me.

"Soo" Jade said.

Breaking the long silence.

Justin looked up at Jade.

"Soo we're not together, I'm with Tiffany" He said as he took my hand.

I looked up at him.

A big smile upon his face.

I faked smiled back.

He then looked at me worried.

He can always tell when my smiles are real or fake.

And he definitely knew this smile was fake.

"Tiffany?" He asked.

I sighed.

Jade chuckled.

"Looks like Tiffany isn't so sure about your relationship anymore now that she knows about your little hook ups" She said.

I sighed once again.

Thinking about Justin and Jade actually hooking up.

The thought made my stomach fill with jealousy.

Envy as well.

Justin rolled his eyes.

Then looked over at me.

"Is that true?" He asked.

I looked down.

"I really don't know" I replied.

I could see Jade smirk from the corner of my eyes.

She then rose from her seat.

Both Justin and I looked up at her.

Jade looked down at us.

"I'm leaving now, Justin you're not even worth it, as for you Tiffany, I wish you the best of luck you'll surely need it with a player like him" She said.

Then off she went.

Justin turned to me.

"Don't listen to her ok" He said.
