her throat was sore and her head was pounding, she woke up feeling like shit. her body felt weak due to the screaming and dancing she took part in yesterday. she kicked her slim legs off her bed, sighing softly as she stood up.

"sads, wake up." she mumbled, shaking sadie, but it was no use. sadie was knocked out, small snores coming out of her mouth. millie exited her room, walking over to ava's where she saw the small girl lay, curled up in a ball, asleep. david and winona were working, but they promised that they wouldn't get home late. the family would eat candy and ice cream, they promised her. she scurried down the steps of her new home, entering the kitchen she's grown so fond of over the last few years. checking through cabinets she decided on pop tarts, so she pulled them out the package. memories started to flood in, memories of when her mom was okay, when her mom wasn't batshit crazy.

"good morning ma.. where's ava?" she asked, sitting down at the table and texting away with Noah, who ended up texting her yesterday afternoon.

"who knows." her mom answered, pouring a class of apple juice for millie. "here's a pop tart, im not in the mood to cook breakfast." her mother spoke, giving two pop tarts to millie, one for her and one for sadie.

"thank you," millie responded, sipping on her juice and chewing away on her pop-tart.

she smiled at the memory, maybe if her mom was still like that, she would've still had both her daughters. but millie didn't care, she'd rather live with sadie and her godparents. she popped the pop tarts in the toaster, taking them out when they were ready. she placed the other ones on a plate for ava and sadie, and began to eat hers tiredly.  it was early in the morning and she wasn't feeling well, so she ended up putting her head down on the counter and falling asleep.

"shit!" sadie yelled, tumbling down the flight of stairs. millie woke up and burst out laughing, standing up to make sure sadie was okay. "you okay there, bud?" she asked, pulling sadie up from the floor. "stop laughing at me, ugly. it really hurt." she mumbled, stepping carefully towards the pop tarts.

"i don't feel well. i think i'm gonna be sick, honestly." millie spoke, leaning her head on sadie's shoulder as her friend chewed on her small breakfast. "i checked on ava, she's sleeping. maybe you should go sleep too, since you were drooling all over the counter." sadie responded, rolling her eyes playfully at her best friend. millie stuck her finger up at her, walking up the steps with a small grin on her face.

millie woke up from her nap to the sound of laughing and yelling. she heard caleb and gaten screaming at each other. she held onto her head before groaning at the two boys. she walked to the bathroom that was next to their room, hopping on the shower. she took a quick shower, exiting and putting on a simple pair of black shorts and a white t-shirt, she let her wet hair loose and slid her feet into sadie's Nike slides since they had the same size feet.

she ran down the stairs to see all her friends scattered around the living room, watching a movie, although nobody was paying attention to it. all of them were screaming about stupid stuff, caleb and gaten still arguing over nonsense.

"stop being so damn loud, i have a damn headache." millie spoke, all the heads turning to face her. "hi baby, i'm sorry. gaten and caleb are being stupid." finn said, smiling sweetly at millie. she sighed, walking over to him and plopping down at his side. she curled up and laid her head on his lap, looking at her friends.
