your first love is always going to be your first love— the first person you shared your secrets with. the first person you felt meaning with. the person who first made your heart beat like crazy. the person who you'll always love no matter what happened because they just left such a big impact on you. your first love is your forever, even if you're not in love forever. maybe it has to end sooner or later, but your first love, is your first love, your always and forever.
millie and finn knew this. maybe they wouldn't last, who knows? but they knew throughout everything, twenty years from now, they'll remember each other and think, "wow, that was my first love. that was the person that made me feel like i mattered, the first person i felt butterflies with."
so together, walking hand in hand, they decided something, something important. "no matter what happens, it's us. you're my forever finn. i'll never forget what we have, ever." she said softly, looking down at her feet as the two walked.
"you're my forever, mills. hey, come here." he spoke, dragging her to a place where he'll never forget. stopping in front of a tattoo shop, millie turned to finn. "uh, are you good?" she asked sarcastically, looking up at him confusingly.
"you're probably not gonna agree but, i want to get a tattoo with you. it can be tiny, i just want something to remind me of our love." finn mumbled, scratching the back of his neck. millie thought for a couple minutes before walking in with her head held high.

"beautiful, it's beautiful." millie smiled, inspecting the hands of hers and finn's. "winona is gonna murder me in my sleep, i need to keep this a secret until i'm eighteen, soon." she smiled, letting out happy sigh. she pulled her long-sleeve shirt down and walked out, finn next to her.
the two didn't speak, but just swung their hands as they walked up to her home. entering, millie kissed both her parents cheek's and gave ava a pinch of the arm. the two cuddled up for thirty minutes before millie jumped up, pulling her vans back on. "lets's skateboard to McDonald's." she exclaimed, making finn laugh.
"whatever, dork. where's sadie's board?" he questioned, so millie pointed to the closet and grabbed her scooter. yes, her scooter, millie was like a little kid. millie ran out before finn, stepping onto her scooter and skating. finn laughed loudly as he trailed behind her on sadie's skateboard, finding his way next to millie.
"i love your scooter, cute." finn chuckled at the pink and blue flower covered scooter. millie rolled her eyes, skating happily through her town. "scooters are easier and better than skateboards, try again." she stuck her tongue out and continued to skate happily. "listen here, piece of doodle doodoo, go do a backflip and fail!" she yelled at finn randomly, making him stop and laugh for a good minute.
millie smiled to herself, continuing to scooter to the nearest McDonald's. finn skated after her with a grin on his face. arriving to McDonald's, out of breath, finn mumbled something, but only he heard it.
"my forever."
