"shut it, wolfhard." millie mumbled as she tried to find the baking instructions. "millie can't bake, she's so lameeee." he sang, dancing around the large kitchen. millie rolled her eyes at the immature boy, finally getting the instructions on her phone. "pass the the eggs and flour, cornball." she told him, making him pout.
"says you, the corniest one of our group of friends." finn responded, tossing her the flour box and passing her the eggs. "what was the point of tossing the flour if you were going to pass the eggs? you're illiterate." millie jokes, opening up the flour box. quickly, she began to crack eggs and mix ingredients for the cake. "millie, why do all this work when we can get chocolate cake mix and mix it with milk or something, so much easier." finn rolled his eyes, making millie stomp her foot. "because finn, it's better! and i like it this way, so help me, or don't help me. but shut it!" millie groaned, making finn laugh.
"alright, grumpy, i'm going to hang out with ava because she appreciates me!" he spoke, his head held high. millie just told him to go along, letting pieces of egg fall in the egg yolk, she mumbled curse words, clawing the pieces out as finn made popcorn. he watched the girl with a grin, taking the popcorn out when it was ready. he grabbed a bowl, pouring the snack in the bowl and taking it to ava who sat watching tinkerbell. finn watched the movie, obviously getting bored but pretending to love it so ava wouldn't complain. he snapped a few pictures of the small girl, before putting his phone away and walking back to millie.
now, the teen was using the chocolate cake mix, giving up on the eggs and flour. "finally took my advice." he smiled, standing behind the girl. he placed his hand on the counter millie mixed on, placing his head on her shoulder. "i'm always right." he said, moving from behind her and scooting next to her. he took the bowl from her hand, mixing the chunky mixture into a smooth substance. "all done, go put in the oven, bake it." he grinned, sitting down on the counter as millie put the cake in the oven.
"ava is sleeping on the couch, i put a blanket over her." finn spoke hopping off the counter and trailing towards millie who placed the cake in the oven. "okay, perfect." she mumbled, looking up at him with a slight smile. she held her hands up before moving them downwards, wrapping her arms around his waist and cuddling him. she laid her head on his chest and sighed. "i loveee you." she whispered, rocking them both side to side. "but i love you more, so much more." he smiled, kissing her forehead. millie rolled her eyes, shaking her head.
finn lifted millie up, sitting her on the marble counter and pecking her lips. millie just smiled, rubbing her finger across her lips happily. "although you're a rat, you make me really really happy." millie told the boy, running her fingers through his curls. "we need to wash and unknot your hair, right away." she chuckled, making finn run his fingers through his curls. he pouted, "my curls are perfect, shush." he told her before leaning onto her and laying his head on her shoulder.
millie wrapped her arms around him, kissing his cheek softly. "maybe i came on too strong." finn hummed the words to millie's song, making her giggle. "stop it, dork." she told him, pushing him away before hopping off the counter table. she walked towards the oven, bending down and opening it. she poked her head in closing it and smiling up at finn. "smells good." she spoke, going over to her phone which laid on the counter.
***-***-****; it's romeo, are you busy?
millie; how did you get my number? and yes, i'm busy...
millie changed his name to romeo, putting her phone down before hearing a ding. she picked her phone up again, seeing finn distracted on his own phone. millie read the message, typing back in confusion.
romeo; i really like you
romeo; maybe we should go out one day
millie; i'm taken by someone, sorry. we can be friends i guess.
romeo; finn?
romeo; you forgive way too easily
millie; you don't know me so mind your business and stay out of mine. i told you we could be friends, but you want to be annoying and shove your nose into something that doesn't affect you.
romeo; i'm sorry
romeo; can we still be friends?
millie rolled her eyes, shutting her phone off and trailing to finn. "why does he keep commenting on your post?" finn asked, looking down at romeo who commented heart eyes all over millie's Instagram. "i don't know, stop being jealous." she said, turning to face the supplies she was putting away. "i asked a question, stop getting so pissed." finn rolled his eyes, walking up the stairs to put his phone to charge. millie groaned, pulling romeo's contact up.
millie; stop commenting on my pictures you snake
she pressed send before slowly walking up the steps. "hellooo." she said as she entered the room, shuffling her feet and standing in front of her bed. (if you know where this is from, ily.) finn tried to hide his smile but couldn't.
he looked at the short girl before chuckling, "come here, dork." he mumbled, opening his arms for the girl. millie rolled her eyes playfully, hugging him. "sorry about getting mad, i don't know what was going on in side my head." she told him, making him nod slightly.
"let's go eat cake and wake up ava, she'll kill us if we don't give her some." he smiled, intertwining his fingers millie and pulling her down the steps. after waking ava up the three frosted the cake with vanilla icing and way too much sprinkles, thanks to ava. the three ate happily, ava making sure to shove cake in millie's face.
