the sound of the car driving through the empty streets, millie singing out words to songs that played. finn drove toward's lilia's house, his hand placed on millie's thigh. he traced circles on her thigh, eyes never leaving the road. millie's eyes never left from him, keeping her gaze on the beautiful boy she was so dearly in love with. her head leaning against the window, watching him with a smile present on her face.

millie gaze never moved from him, finn turning to face her for a slight second. he smiled softly at his girl, millie sending a small smile back to him before his gaze returned to the road.

"you look so good in the moonlight." finn mumbled, so soft he wasn't sure if millie heard. but she did, and after all these months the heat still rose on her cheeks.

"i love you so much." millie mumbled back, placing her hand on his which still traced her thigh which seemed to have goosebumps in the hot weather.

"baby i need you in my life, please babe don't go switching sides." she sang quietly, eyes closing as the lyrics poured out her lips. her hand squeezed his slightly, him returning and squeezing hers back.

they soon arrived to the party, exiting the car and walking in hand in hand. the first song she heard was xxxtentacion ft. pnb rock, which made her look around for sadie who already spotted her and was singing to her.

"mhm baby i don't understand this, you're changing i can't stand it. my heart can't take this damage, and the way i feel can't stand it. mhm baby i don't understand it, girl you're making it hard for me." millie walked to the redhead, her hands leaving finn as she ran towards her best friend.

the girls sang the rest of the lyrics, finn smiling at the two girls. the song soon ended, which resulted in lilia walking towards them. "hi mills!" she called, millie pulling the girl into a long hug. "hi lovely, you look wonderful." millie smiled down at the girl who wore a simple but gorgeous dress.

lilia thanked the girl, sending her a compliment before running back to the rest of her guest. finn trailed towards millie, ruffling sadie's hair which resulted in finn getting a slap on the arm. finn's hand wrapped around the back of millie's waist, rocking the two of them side to side. sadie smiled at the two 'lovey dovey lovebirds.'

"i will go find my boyfriend because third wheeling is ass. love you millie, finn love you kinda." she joked, poking millie's cheek and finn's jawline. "agh i cut myself!" she joked once more, making finn chuckling and trail his hand across his jawline.

sadie ran towards caleb who seemed to not be too far. finn and millie rocked side to side, a random song playing from the loud boom box. a drink passed by jaeden in finn's hand. he drank from it, his other hand still wrapped around millie's waist, his chin placed on her head.

"a slow song for any couples out here, mwah mwah." lilia called from a table she was standing on, winking over at finn and millie before turning towards noah and maddie.

finn's hand made its way to interlock with millie's, pulling her to the middle of lilia's living room. hand wrapped around her waist, millie's wrapping around his neck. her head placed against his chest, moving along to the beat. his heartbeat was quick, even though he had been with millie for months now. still, she had this effect on him that he wouldn't be able to get over.

maddie and noah, grace and gaten, caleb and sadie, lilia and jaeden, rowan and sabrina, iris and jazmine, along with so many other couples who loved each other oh so much danced along to the music.
