"she got me up all night, all i'm singing is love songs."

—6,632 words

"millie."

bringing the phone to her ear, millie let out a muffled hello, her mouth covered by the blankets thrown over her head. "babyyy, i need you to come pick me up." finn slurred, making millie want to hit her head on a wall.

"aren't you at home? where are you?" millie questioned, pulling the blankets off her cold body and hurrying to her closet. "i went out. i'm at lila's party." he yelled, millie know fully realizing the music in the background.

"are you serious?" millie asked, absolutely aggravated at the fact finn said he needed to be home, that he can't visit her, but instead was at a party. she almost hung up and fell back asleep, but she loved finn too much. "i'm on my way."

she pulled on a pair of sweats and a random sweatshirt, after pulling her coat on she stepped down the stairs. she tried her best to be quiet, so she drove away quickly. arriving at lila's house after a couple of minutes, she exited the car and walked towards the front of the home. and there was finn, leaning against the wall.

"are you fucking smoking?" millie asked, watching as finn smirked slightly. "yea, jack taught me how to." he laughed, continuing to smoke, incorrectly, at that.

"well you're doing it wrong." millie rolled her eyes, pulling the blunt out his hand and shoving it into jack's hand. "i'm going to fucking murder you." millie spoke to both the boys, grabbing finn by the arm and dragging him into the car.

she swiftly pushed him in, helping him with his seatbelt and slamming the door. she entered the drivers seat, beginning to drive towards her home. she felt her eyes start to water, and her lips quiver slightly.

"are you serious? we haven't talked since March first, it's the fifteen! you've been out partying, and i've been staying home thinking about us! is this really what our relationship turned into?" millie spoke, quickly wiping the tears that cascaded down her cheeks.

"you're being extra." finn mumbled, laying his head against the seat.

"extra? no! i'm trying to help our relationship because it's falling apart! all we do is argue finn, i'm tired of this. i'm the only one who puts effort into this relationship." millie said, her voice cracking as she cried.

"millie, i love you. i do care. but i want to have fun, i'm a teen. we've talked about this before." finn rolled his eyes, tying to fall asleep. millie turned, now driving to finn's house. she didn't want to see him.

"fuck you." millie spat at him, trying to stop the tears from rolling down her pale cheeks.

"extra." finn mumbled, making millie let out a choked sob. "i fucking hate you." she cried, driving as fast as possible to his home. and finally, they arrived.

"no need to lie, baby." finn said softly, taking off his seatbelt. he tried to press a kiss to millie lips, but millie shoved him away.

"don't call me baby." she whispered, turning to face in the other direction.

finn exited the car, slamming the car door and entering his home. millie let out another choked sob, placing her head in her hands. it felt as if she couldn't breathe properly, the whimpers escaping her lips. she was tired of being the only one who tried.
