"Ugh, I forgot how serious those Halloween parties are." Reese groaned, flopping back onto my couch. Ethan moaned in agreement from the bathroom. People were known for throwing Halloween parties day and night, and you could always expect those two to be there. Which is why they both had hangovers and one of them was currently in my bathroom puking his guts out.
"Ethan, I know you're basically dead in there, but can you not make a mess? Because then Angie would make me clean it up and I don't feel like touching puke today." Tony commented after knocking on the door. It was followed by retching sounds.
I gag at it as I slump into the big chair. It had become Tony and I's place to sit whenever he was over, even when we were alone. He joined me, slinging an arm around my shoulders as he kissed my forehead. I knew it wasn't his fault that his best friends were drunk idiots, but it was his fault that they were here. Early this morning, he had gotten a call from a very drunk Ethan who couldn't find his way home from a front lawn. So Tony left to go get them, but decided to bring them here. I would make sure to ask him later, but I was busy texting Em. She ended up spending the night, but left this morning when Tony did.
Em: I can't believe those two went to five different parties yesterday.
AngSax: They probably went to more, just can't remember
Em: As much as I would love to stay and talk gossip, mom is bugging me to put dishes away
AngSax: I should do the same. Talk to ya later
I put my phone off to the side and made a move to get up, but Tony grabbed my wrist and pulled me back down. Landing in his lap, he circled his arms around my waist, keeping me to him. Ignoring the happy feeling I got whenever he was this lovey, I settle back into him. My back was to his chest and I could feel his heartbeat on my back. He stuffed his nose into my hair and I'm so glad I decided to take a shower this morning while he was gone. It smelled of my lavender, lemon, mint shampoo and I loved that it was soft and brushed with no tangles. Before he could start doing his work with those lips, Ethan bursts out of the bathroom.
"I just finished puking, guys. Can you not make me want to do it again?" Ethan commented as he trudged over to Reese. He had fallen asleep, hoping to rid himself of his hangover. Ethan collapses onto the ground, leaning his back against the couch. "So once the two of us are free of hangovers, want to hang out?"
Tony looked at me for confirmation, and I nodded in agreement. Hanging with the guys wasn't so bad. It's not like I was exactly ladylike so it didn't matter. While he continued talking to the hungover drunk friend of his, my phone started ringing. I jumped up and walked over to the front door, away from prying ears.
"What do you want?" I ask harshly through the phone. Why did he always have to interrupt my free time with Tony?
"Calm your tits. Where's mom? She said she was coming to pick me up for something." My annoying-as-hell, older brother bit back to me. As much as I hated him, he was still my brother. An ass, but my brother.
"I don't know. She left around ten this morning saying she was going out with Oma." I told him, looking back over at Tony. He was laughing at something Ethan said, his eyes crinkling at the corners in happiness.
I heard him mutter some curse words, but I ignored them. It was the norm for my entire family. "Whatever, I'll just text her. If you see her or hear from her, tell her I'm waiting."
With that, he hung up. I shook my head at his bluntness before walking back over to Tony. Ethan had fallen asleep, his head leaning back on Reese's arm. When they were asleep, they were peaceful. Any other time and they were off the wall. Tony pulled me onto his lap and I turned so my legs were hanging over the armrest. I leaned my head down on his shoulder and his hand found its way onto my thigh, just above my knee. As we sat there, his other hand playing with the ends of my hair that was falling down my back and I paying attention to the rhythm of his heartbeat, we started talking.
