She's not all that
I knocked on Toni's door, knowing he wouldn't be busy since he never did find anything interesting to occupy him.
"Hey" I greeted, opening the door to him, playing some video game, with a console in his hands and his eyes glued to the screen.
"What do you want?" He rolled his eyes at me, clearly unpleasant at my presence.
"I just wanted to talk..." I sauntered in, communicating with my brother wasn't the easiest, he was quite the antisocial type and he had his own comfort zone that was fairly restricted.
"About what.." he eventually pauses the game and puts the console down, to formally speak to me. He stands up from his chair and addresses me properly.
"Alexa" I answered.
"What about her?" He furrowed his eyebrows.
"What do you think of her?" I gulped, putting my hands in my pocket.
"Meh, she's alright" He simply commented. Either me and him had seen a completely different girl or he was blind or he had bad taste in women, but Alexa definitely wasn't just 'alright'. Nope, She was something different, something rather mesmerising and something unbelievable, almost out of this world.
"So you're not interested?" I raised my eyebrows.
"She's not all that" He scoffed, amazing me.
"Wow" I said, speechless. "I just wanted to clarify that there was no competition, I didn't want things to get ugly"
"Oh, don't worry, There won't be any competition" he assured. "I know how important it is for you to impress dad and follow want he wants, it's what you do best after all"
"Well, yeah" I agreed, sensing slight bitterness in his words. "You're a weird one"
"I've established that a while ago" he stated.
"Not a lot of guys would pass out an opportunity with Alexa" I added.
"Trust me, there's a lot of fish in the sea" Toni dismissed.
"Oh, I'm not so sure she's a fish, I would say she's more like a magical rare pink dolphin" I corrected, using an analogy.
"Those don't exist" He ridiculed.
"As a matter of fact, they do exist actually, they were spotted recently in Louisiana river. It's a mutation in the species of dolphins that create a devoid of pigment, which resorts to albinism...." I began a zoology lecture.
"Okay, enough of this nonsense. You want Alexa, you can have her, you have my word. Be free, do what you want. It really isn't possible for me to care any less" Toni made his point clear. "In other words, I'm not interested"
