We all gather on my bed as I search for help.

    Then the front door slams.

    All of our eyes meet.

"Did you hear that?" I ask.

"Maybe it was Connor home from Tyler's." Ricky suggests.

"But why would he slam the door?" I ask, my patience on its last edge.

"Ashley's right." Kian says to Ricky.

"Then was it..." I trail off.

"Should we go check?" Ricky says hesitantly.

"I'm sure it wasn't..." Kian says before trailing off too.

We all look back to my laptop.

Then all at once we spring up, whip open the door, and run out the front door.

"Jc!" I yell, but it's too late.

He's gone, along with his car.

    "Ashley.." Ricky starts.

    "He left." I mutter out.

"Ricky, let's get her inside." Kian says.

They each grab one of my arms and help me into the house. I then find myself sitting on the couch.

"What do I do?" I ask them.

    "We do." Kian corrects me.

"I'm gonna go call Connor. You guys go try to call Jc." Ricky says and then he leaves the room.

    Kian tries first.

"I got forwarded to voicemail." He says.

   "I'll try." I say.

You have reached the voicemail box of Jc Caylen and sometimes Ashley because she's my girlfriend and I love her very much. Please leave a message after the tone. Is all I hear.

Listening to the voicemail recording we recorded so long ago brings tears to my eyes because I realize how much I need him.

"So.." Kian bursts into my train of thought.

"Oh. I just got voicemail." I tell him.

Just then Ricky climbs back down the steps.

    "Anything from Connor?" I ask.

"He's on his way home. Anything from Jc?" Ricky replies.

    I shake my head.

    "What's gonna happen?" Kian asks.

    "What if he.." I begin.

Ricky cuts me off, "No. Jc will not kill himself. He's stronger than that."

I can hear the tension in his voice.

"What do we do?" I ask.

"I guess we could go look for him." Kian says.

"Kian, do you know how many people live in the Los Angeles area? Finding one 21 year old man will be close to impossible." Ricky yells.

"Nothing is impossible." I say quietly.

"Why don't you stay here and wait for Connor, while Ashley and I go find him." Kian suggests.

    Ricky nods his head.

"Ok. Let's go." Kian says. He grabs his car keys and leads me out the door.

I get in the car and watch the farmiliar scenery pass by. All the memories with Jc come flooding back and I can't help, but let a few tears fall.
