Security was brutal. I had mascara running down my face and everyone was just staring at me. I mean they should understand. I'm pretty sure everyone has had to leave a close friend or family member. Security was also long. It took 30 minutes, which I guess isn't bad, but I really just wanted some Starbucks and to go sit down.
The boys had somehow managed to hook me up with first class, so my six hour flight would be slightly more enjoyable.
"Finally." I sigh as I exit the security portion of the airport. I spot the Starbucks out of the corner of my eye and walk quickly towards it.
"What can I get for you?" A boy in 20s asks me.
"A grande vanilla bean frappachino please." I tell him.
"Coming right up." He tells me.
I step off to the side and wait for my name to be called.
"Ashley." I hear someone say.
I walk over to the counter, take my drink, and then make my way to gate A7.
The gate is quite full, but I manage to find a corner with a little of space.
I instantly check my phone, expecting to see texts from the guys, but there are none. I don't think too much of it because we all are pretty emotional at the moment. I'm actually almost relieved that they didn't text me because I don't exacltly want to break down in the middle of a crowded airport gate.
I check Twitter in hopes to see news from them because I do miss them already. They have all tweeted. Jenn and Andrea had also tweeted. I hadn't talked to them for weeks, so I was slightly surprised.
Their Twitter updates were so heartwarming.

I favorite all the tweets and retweet them. I will reply once I get off the plane.
Connor's tweet kind of stuck out to me because I had heard him talking to the boys about some big announcement he had. It must be a sad announcement based on his tweet.
"Flight 678 to Detroit is now boarding. First we will be taking anyone who is flying First Class." I hear said over the loud speaker.
I stand up, making sure I have everything, and then make my way to the boarding line. I take my boarding pass out of my wallet and hand it to the lady.
"You're all set." She tells me.
I walk down the long terminal until I reach the plane door.
"Enjoy your flight." The flight attendant tells me with a fake smile.
I nod, reality hitting me.
I manage to find my seat, while still in this weird daze.
I sit down and store my carry on.
I'm leaving LA. I think to myself, finally realizing what's going on.
I suddenly have this urge to cry, but I am somehow able to hold it back.
"Are you alright?" An older lady asks as she walks through the plane.
I nod and she walks away.
I check Twitter again and see another tweet from Connor.
Connor Franta @connorfranta
there's a big announcement in today's new video. i hope you all will be understanding & open minded about everything... i'm really nervous
And then minutes later, there was another tweet.
Connor Franta @connorfranta
the video will be up over here in about an hour: youtube.com/Our2ndLife
I don't really know what to think at this point. I mean I'll be in the air by the time the video goes up and I don't know if I get this plane wifi. I just don't know what to do.
"This flight is a very full flight. We will be leaving the gate momentarily. Please make sure your tray tables and seat backs are in their upright position. Thank you." The flight attendant announces.
The flight attendants close the cabin doors and dim the lights. They then give the safety presentation and before I know it, we are in the air. Miles above Los Angeles. A city, which was once my home. A city full of memories that I will never forget. And then I fall asleep.
