School was a bore. After endless hours of Steph nagging, Charlotte and Beth giggling, and Charlie shamelessly flirting, it was finally lunch. Sitting down, I spotted you immediately. You winked, making me blush, something I rarely did.
"Who's that?" Steph asked, distracting me from you. She sat down, Charlotte and Beth trailing behind her like dogs waiting for leftovers.
"No one." I lied, keeping my eyes on you as you made kissy faces. Wear something nice, you mouthed.
"That doesn't look like no one." Steph went on, her tone accusing.
"That's Dean Castor. He's a bad boy." Charlotte giggled.
"I know who he is." I replied, my tone a little more rude than I expected it to come out. I swear I hated my friends sometimes.
"I'm warning you Bella, he's bad news." Steph said, disgust in her voice. "Stay away from him."
"I think I can handle my self, thanks." I snapped, getting up to throw away my lunch. I wasn't in the mood to eat. God, I wish she would just shut up sometimes. But really, I should have listened to her...
