We were sitting on my best friend's bed at her sleepover party when we ran out of things to do and movies to watch.
"So what do you guys wanna do now?" Lou asked twirling her hair around her finger which was a light purple now. She had blond hair and a soft complexion.
"I actually have no idea, all I know is that I am bored and I need something to do," I said shoving a handful of popcorn in my mouth. I let it soak a little with my saliva before I started to chew it.
"Should we call the boys and ask if they want to come over?" Lindsy said turning onto her back, letting her brown curly hair fall off the bed and hit the floor.
"That wouldn't be a good idea, besides I think they went camping this weekend," I said putting my head down on Lou's lap.
After about 5 minutes of silently chewing our popcorn, Lou finally came up with an idea.
"We should play hide and seek! I know it sounds childish, but we don't have anything better to do," She got up from her bed with an enthusiastic look on her face as if she wanted Lindsy and me to get up with her.
We both gave each a look saying 'OMG she's lost her mind' but we finally said yes.
The game started off quite nicely, then it was my turn to hide. I hid in an old chest in the basement of Lou's house. I curled up into a ball and played on my phone for a little bit until someone found me. So I waited.
And waited.
And waited.
After what felt like forever I decided to get out of the chest. I opened it and noticed the basement wasn't the same as it was when I came down here. The furniture all seemed white, and plastic like. Something you would see in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
But I also noticed dust on most of the furniture, like someone didn't put a sheet of it before they left for a vacation. I went upstairs to see if Lou and Lindsy but the house seemed deserted. I checked outside and I got a strange feeling that something wasn't right. Usually, this street is buzzing with people, but now it just looked like a ghost town. I went back inside to my ultimate surprise, taking up the whole living room, was at least thousands of missing person papers covered in dust.
As I got closer, I noticed the person in the picture looked oddly familiar. Then it hit me! That person was me!
So I asked myself, how long was I in that chest for.
Everything is covered in dust and there are a bunch of missing person papers.
Then I heard something close a door behind me.
