The couple walked through the dead brown leaves in Winter's Park. A sealed dome where it was always autumn. There were 2 other domes that consisted of autumn and spring which had approximately a 4 kilometer circomference. The real world as they called it was always summertime, but the government thought it'd be a fun idea to let people ski inside a giant dome in July without leaving having to leave the city. The winter dome always had a soft, blanket of snow on the ground. If it was late enough in the year there was enough snow to make a pillowy landing if you were to fall on your bum. The two walked hand in hand until a cold breeze arose from the horizon, forcing Elowen to cover her face with her blue scarf Lars had lovingly made for her when they were sixteen. She smiled at the memory and pressed the scarf o her face, taking in it's scent. The breeze died down whilst they walked to a small coffee shop in the middle of the park. It was called 'Winter's Breath' appropriatly named of course.
Being the gentleman he is Lars offered to pay but Elowen refused and payed for her own drink. They sipped their hot chocolate in silence on a park bench under a lampost. The brown maple leaves fell from the tree above them as the sun set in the real world, the glow shinning through the dome glass. Now, as they sipped their hot chocolate, Lars casually got down on one knee and proposed to Elowen at exactly 11:43 on a Sunday night. But the thing is with Lars' proposal, was that he didn't give bunch of sappy reasons why he loved her. He simply said "You complete me and I love you more than anything on this planet, d'you wanna get married?" and pulled out a large purple diamond ring out of his pocket. She laughed and slid the ring on the finger, pulled him off the ground and placed her cold lips on his warm ones. He pressed his hand to the small of her back and brought Elowen closer to his body. As the lights around them dimmed down, Elowen slid her hands up into Lars' navy blue quiff that he had geled upwards earlier that day. When the couple pulled apart, Elowen mumbled a small 'yes' against his lips.
