I've just died and I guess now I'm going to heaven or limbo, I don't really know.
But there is a tingling sensation in my hand.
And a glowing light.
I'm disappearing I think.
When just about my whole body had been engulfed in this tingling glowing light I found myself in what seemed to be the inside of a closet.
A small light shown in threw the door so I could partially see where I was.
I can tell you this now, it wasn't empty. There were dresses hanging and toy castles on the ground with barbie dolls in them.
I decided to step out of the closet, and a little girl was sitting at a play table in the middle of the room holding a tea party for her stuffed animals.
"More tea Mr.Giggles?" She smiled and poured the elephant more tea and served it more plastic cookies. The elephant to my surprise, picked up the tea cup and sipped the tea carefully. I couldn't believe my eyes, the elephant was actually moving. I needed to see more of this.
I took a seat at the table along with a Barbie doll, a hedgehog and giraffe who all had tea and cookies in front of them.
"Alyssa! You're finally here! Now we can start the fun!" The little girl exclaimed, she looked about 5 and was wearing a purple tutu and had a tiara in her hair.
I tried to play along, but I also didn't know what this girl's name was. I looked around for clues. There was an S on the door covered in glitter, so her name must start with an that.
I then caught a glimpse of a backpack with her name on it. Sarnia.
I then picked up a tea cup and raised it to my lips pretending to drink from it.
“Hmm, it’s good. Where did you get it from?” I asked, expecting her to say some silly response like “Candy Land.”
“From mommy’s gun cabinet,” She replies, pouring more tea for her stuffed giraffe that looked like it was dressed in Sherlock Holmes clothing. In twine.
I froze at her response and just smiled lightly. She then proceeded to do something I couldn’t imagine.
“Mr.Giggles, go get some more cookies!” She commanded. Just then the sitting elephant sparked and red light and got out of its chair to get more “cookies.” It took me awhile to process what was going on. But from the looks of it this 4 year old child had some sort of supernatural powers.
I hadn’t realized it before but there was a giant mirror in the bedroom. Almost as if someone was watching her, examining her. Almost as if they knew what she was.
I excused myself to use the washroom and Sarnia opened the door for me without moving from her seat. I closed the door behind and turned around to see a white room with people in white lab coats.
A man with a black lab coat approached me and took a deep breath. “We don’t know what she is, but we do know that she isn’t human,” He looks to the ground, with worried expression on his face.
“You aren’t real either, you’re a figure of her imagination.”
