I had stared off into space for what seemed like forever. But the doctor finally got me out of my daze.

"Jacob! Are you listening?! Get down zere and get slaughtering!! Hahaha!!" Doctor S psychotically shouted.

"What do you mean?! I've never killed anything before, I can't do that now!! It's so sudden!" I pleaded.

"Jacob, we are running out of time! Zhere is no time for zis! Get going!! Zhe amulet must've drawn you to it for some reason, or else you vould'nt even be vearing it! For everything good in Equestria, destroy zhem all!!!"

"Fine! But know that the entire time, I'll be regretting it!"

The doctor looked taken aback by my reply but has not a second to respond before I leapt down the side of the large hill we had been standing on.

These monsters... They weren't like anything I knew of being in Equestria prior to now. They looked to be of some kind of liquid type material. Its appearance shared that of tar. A black, thick liquid but it was taking form and seemed sentient.

[I can't defeat these things up close, that stuff doesn't look very good to touch or get on you. I'll need to use ranged attacks to take them out.] I thought to myself. The monsters didn't seem to notice me and were chasing after straggling ponies.

I summoned the fire to my palms and launched a flurry of flames at the small group of these creatures, incinerating them. The ponies ran off safely, leaving just me and these... Things.

"Let's dance, scumbags." I launched another volley of fireballs at the creatures, destroying a few more of them. The attention of all of them was directed at me. I was truly surrounded. I had no choice but to fight my way out of this one.

Just before the creatures were going to strike, a smoke cloud, which seemed to have come from a small smoke bomb, hit one the creatures in the face. All the other creatures rushed over to it, giving me a chance to retreat back a little ways and give myself some room from them.

"Where'd that come from...?" I looked behind me and saw the pony from before, who had helped me with the guards. The pony leapt down the hill and landed next to me.

"Heh, long time no see. Holding up well with your new powers?"

"Who are you? You've never introduced yourself to me! Why should I even truly trust you?" I shouted.

"Do you not remember who helped you get away from HALF OF THE EQUESTRIAN MILITARY? Come now, no random pony would do that. I'm here to help you. I want a better future for ponies and humans..."

Suddenly... It all clicked. I didn't believe it, but it was a plausible explanation.

"Princess Luna...?"

The figure looked down and a dark blue aura appeared around it. The average sized pony figure was nothing to compare to the figure that now stood before me. Luna, Princess of the night.

"Indeed. I apologize for deceiving you before, I feared it would be too much all at once."

I nodded slowly. "Yeah, you're probably right."

My thoughts were cut off by a feral screech from the previously injured creature.

"Oh crap, that thing is pissed! I hope revenge isn't on the menu..." I was getting worried. The princess and I were out numbered, at least, 8 to 1.

This was gonna suck.
