Saturday, 25th September...
I chose my outfit very carefully today. If I'm going to Jae Wook's house, I would most likely bump into his parents- or at least his mother because most rich ladies stay home, right? I have to look polite and gentle. I wore a pleated coffee skirt that hovered just above the knee, an emerald shirt with very short sleeves and over that a long-sleeved cream cardigan. I paired my knee length dark brown boots with this outfit and stood back to examine myself.
Hmmm... good enough. I should be wearing stockings but I don't want to make it too obvious that I was trying to impress them. Besides, I don't want to dress up like someone I'm not. That's why I left my hair out over tying it up in a bun. Thankfully, it's straight today.
My phone rang. "Hello?"
"It's Jae Wook, your honey."
I faked a vomit. "You're here?"
"Yeah."
"Be right there."
I hung up and checked myself in the mirror again. This feels like it's our first date all over again. Nothing would make a date more official than meeting your partner's parents... I wish I could introduce Jae Wook to mine. I was about to dash out the door when I remembered the bear's head and quickly put it on. I took a deep breath and headed downstairs.
"You look lovely Yura!" Mrs. Lee complimented, pausing from reading her cooking magazine.
"Thank you."
I went outside and Jae Wook was sitting in his Porsche. He spotted me and waved. I ran over and climbed in the car.
"You look nice."
"Don't I always?"
He chuckled and started the car.

He parked the car on one side of the lane and we both got out. I stood in front of two houses, both very large.
"What are you staring at? That's not my house. Over here."
I rotated to the direction Jae Wook was facing. In front of me stood two buildings; a huge mansion and another small house. It made the street look very distorted, if you ask me. I like everything in balance and these two buildings just... unbalanced each other. For one thing, this whole street is filled with gigantic houses, but here you have in the centre of it the largest mansion on the street next to the smallest house on the street.
Why should I care? It's not my house anyway. I crossed the road and automatically headed to the mansion.
"Where are you going?" He asked from behind me.
I stopped. "Huh?"
He crossed the road briefly checking for cars. "This is my home", he said indicating the small house next to the mansion.
I examined the small house again, it really is... small, especially for a guy who owns a Porsche.
Don't get me wrong! I don't expect or prefer Jae Wook to own a gigantic house or anything. I'm just surprised he doesn't have one.
"Oh...OK", I shrugged and followed Jae Wook into the small house.
My breath was taken away the moment I stepped into the little house.
It is dark, it is gloomy and it is messy. I honestly don't know how anyone could live in here, let alone a whole family. I didn't like the feeling of it one bit, it gave me the creeps. Not wanting to seem rude, I hid my opinions and put on a smile. "Lovely!" I said a bit too enthusiastically.
