Thursday, 19th August...

"Ok then. Let's start from what you do know about your family then. What's your father's name?"

"Kwon Lee Wan."

"Your mother?"

"Anh Ji Sook."

"Uncles, aunties?"

"No."

"Hmmm... is there anything else you know about them?"

"They lived in Seoul until 1981."

The detective took off his glasses and sighed.

"You do know this is a hard case."

"Yes, but if it wasn't so hard I wouldn't be coming to famous Detective Kang Suh Jin."

He smiled. Kang Suh Jin was a very hard man to reach, it had taken me the whole month to find his whereabouts.

"OK then. Leave it to me."

"Thank you", I said and left the dark room.

Finally, I was outside and able to breathe fresh air again. It's so stuffy in there! I hope Kang Suh Jin will be able to detect something. The wait for Detective Kang was longer than I expected. It was night time now and I hadn't eaten since lunch at school. I decided to go for kimchi.

---

"Hmmm", I said, rubbing my stomach as I walked out of the restaurant.

I stopped, sighting a small narrow alleyway. Maybe it will lead me to the other side of the street. So cannot be bothered walking long distance right now and there aren't any cabs around. Ok. Go for it.

Big mistake. The moment I stepped into the alleyway, I felt someone push me forward. I turned around to face my attackers but one of them had already slapped my face. I held onto my tingling face and glared at the three men who were slowly advancing on me, a perverting look all over their faces. I stepped back.

"Come here, baby girl", the biggest one said, bending his finger motioning for me to come.

I was about to step forward when a shadow went above the attackers' heads and landed in front of me.

"Are you alright?" he asked, keeping his eyes focused on the attackers.

From the moonlight and the distinctive voice, I could tell it was Park Jae Wook.

[Jae Wook's POV]

"What are you doing here?" she asked me.

What a dumb question to ask at this time. She really is stupid.

The man standing on the left threw a punch at me, I blocked it and held his arm tightly. Swiftly, I ran my hands up his arm to his shoulder and twisted him so that his back was facing me. Another man was ready to throw a punch at me. Before I could block it, a kick from behind sent him flying backward. I turned my head around to make sure if what I was seeing was real but had to quickly turn my head back as Yura leapt forward and kicked the last man from the chin up. The two men got up again and were ready to throw themselves at her when she did a spin kick sending them off in opposite directions. The man in front of her charged at her, then the man behind her. Yura swiftly spun her head, her ponytail whipping the eyes of the man at the front.

"Argh! My eyes, my eyes! Yikes my eyes!" he cried stumbling back into the rubbish bin.

She now faced the man who was charging at her from behind.

"Haaaiiii.... YA!" she yelled, giving him a side kick in his you-know-what.

Yura was standing there in a fighting position. She let her guards down and looked at me, blinking twice.

[Yura's POV]

"Aren't you going to finish him off?" I asked him.

That's when he realised he was still holding onto one man. The man lifted his face to look at Jae Wook and with one punch he was knocked out. Jae Wook dropped him quickly, glanced at me and brushed his hands together. I tightened my hair then looked at the man whom I had kicked in the, yeah. You know what.

"Are you alright? Ouch. That must hurt. You're so stupid. Why did you even attack for? I-"

Jae Wook interrupted me by dragging me out of the alleyway.

"Are you stupid or what?" he asked me.

"What?"

"They attacked you and you kicked them. Then you ask them are they alright? You must be crazy!"

"Well... I only resort to violence in extreme cases. He looked like he was dying there and I don't want to become a murderer... so it wont hurt to ask-"

"SHUT UP!"

[Jae Wook's POV]

I couldn't believe my ears. This one really was crazy. She pouted and shrugged her shoulders.

"I'm too tired to argue right now", she said lazily, "and what are you doing here?"

"I came out of the restaurant and noticed a girl in trouble, if I had known it was you I would've left."

She rolled her eyes at me then snickered, "Yeah right. Whenever I'm in a fight you always seem to be there."

Well doesn't that say something Kwon Yura? You seem to need me then. Yura started walking ahead of me.

[Yura's POV]

"YAH! WOOH-MAN!" he called from behind.

I turned as he ran to catch up to me.

"Where'd you learn how to kick like that?"

I smiled mischievously.

"I'm 16, been robbed twice and had a knife at my neck once. Don't you think I would know some tricks by now?"

"Seriously", he said.

"I am. I'm a brown belt in Taekwondo."

He laughed in disbelief.

"You really are a strange mix", he said to me.

"And you? You know your arts too?" I asked him.

He gave me a boastful smile.

"I do Judo."

"Belt?"

"Black."

"Damn", I murmured to myself.

"That's what I thought too", he said cheerfully.

Gay snob.

"Gay snob!" I yelled to him.

He turned around and I was already running off. He chased me until I was at the entrance of Sun Dae's house. By now, all that kimchi was travelling up my throat. I turned around.

"Jae Wook?"

"Huh?"

"I think...."

"Yeah..."

"I think you'd better...... mooove!"

And with that it all came out. He's lucky, he managed to jump back just before it got him. He pointed accusingly at the mess on the ground then to me with a disgusted look on his face.

"Get inside man you dirty girl. I'm gonna go to Dong Wook's house and party all night."

"You better not!"

Then I stopped and remembered.

"Fine. Go ahead. Go on", I encouraged him.

He was stumped for words. I smiled knowingly.

"Dong Wooks' grandma is home. You can't party."

He mouthed curses at me.

"Good-bye, goodnight and thank you", I said waving to him.

I walked through the front gate.

[Jae Wook's POV]

Good-bye and night and you I thank? I smiled to myself. She must have had soju.
