[Chapter Song: Taebin ft. Kim Ji Eun - So We Can Love]

Wednesday, 10th October – 5 days left in Seoul...

I had a long conversation over the phone with Jae Wook last night talking about lots of things. He had rung to ask me if everything was fine and I had to tell a little lie about discussing the situation with my parents. Then he offered to take me to school today but I refused because of Dong Wook. Stupid Dong Wook.

I pressed the doorbell and within 20 seconds we were out of the house.

"How did everything go?" I asked concernedly.

"Thanks to you, perfect. I had an hour's worth of beating last night", he replied.

I wasn't gonna say sorry but I did pity him.

"Can you help me?" He asked.

I let him swing an arm around my shoulder while I put an arm around his waist to help him walk. He was limping badly.

I looked behind him and saw his butt perking up more than usual.

"Wow, they did a pretty good job", I said, trying to suppress a laugh.

Dong Wook glared at me. "Shut up."

---------

"Hey, you can let go of me now. It's not a good idea, there'll be rumours", Dong Wook said as I was still supporting him in the school.

"Don't worry, it's all over now so we've got nothing to hide", I replied, walking down the corridor.

"Really now?"

"Soo Jin?"

She looked very crossed and her eyes were red, like she's been crying all night.

"Have you got anything to tell me, Kwon Yura?"

What's wrong with her?

"No, what is it?" I asked.

"Take that fake innocent face of yours off and show your true face, you b1tch", she retorted.

Her words shocked me so much that I let go of Dong Wook and with the suddden action he fell on the floor in a heap. Now, all the students nearby gathered around us in a circle and were watching with eager. Soo Jin glared from me to Dong Wook.

"How could you?" She said softly through teary eyes.

"Do what?" Oh... I had been supporting Dong Wook. That's probably what she's upset about. I smiled with relief and started explaining. "No! It's not what you think! He's injured, I'm just helping him!"

"So he's been injured so deeply that you have to give him your love? So deeply THAT YOU HAVE TO CHEAT ON PARK JAE WOOK AND BETRAY ME?!"

Her voice echoed through the corridor and was emphasised by the silence. Everyone must be part of the circle by now.

"Soo Jin, I'd never-"

She threw something at me. It hit my face and scattered on the floor. I looked down and gasped. Photos... of me and Dong Wook together in the past few days.

Dong Wook stood up. "Y-you... hired a detective to follow me?"

Soo Jin stared at him. "You just had to give it away last Thursday", she said bitterly. "I noticed... you kept looking at her, waiting for her, trying to get closer to her, isolate her so that you could be alone with her..."

That was the time he was trying to get me to be his pretend girlfriend. My eyes hovered above a particular photo on the floor. It featured the photo booth that Dong Wook and I had been in and the mini screen was showing the photo that we had taken.
