Chapter 25

No one POV

"M-Mina, what are you doing here?"

Mina turned her back just to see Chaeyoung with her harmed shoulder standing behind her. Her jaw dropped.

"C-Chaeyoung?"

Mina couldn't speak properly before losing her consciousness and fainted in front of Chaeyoung. Chaeyoung got shocked and dragged Mina out of the graveyard. She dragged Mina to her apartment and laid her on the bed. She warmed up the soup that Dahyun had left for her and laid it beside Mina. Chaeyoung sat beside Mina and looked at her. She couldn't stop thinking about the guy that was about to hurt her. Now she understood why Mina suddenly decided to leave her. She felt the anger growing bigger inside her as she remembered the guy's plan. She couldn't make Mina suffer.

Chaeyoung slowly caressed Mina's head while admiring her.She suddenly caught a purplish mark on her left eye. Did she get punched? Then she suddenly felt how high Mina's body temperature was. She quickly brought a wet handkerchief to put it on Mina's forehead. Then she covered her with a blanket and prepared some tea. After a while, Mina finally woke up.

"God, where am I?" Mina squealed and held her dizzy head.

Chaeyoung then reached for her hand and smiled. Mina was startled a bit, then her eyes widened when she saw Chaeyoung.

"Chaeyoung? B-But how?"

Chaeyoung chuckled.

"I'm not dead pabo ya, you were hallucinating, besides, you're also sick. You need to rest now"

Mina sighed in relief. She held Chaeyoung's hand and laid back on the bed. Her head was hurting. A heartbroken feeling rushed through her as she remembered Chaeyoung wasn't there to see her performance. She wanted to show her best for Chaeyoung. She wanted to show her that she was the reason she kept chasing her dreams.

"Mina ya, what's this on your eye?" Chaeyoung referred to the purplish mark.

Mina's eyes widened.

"It's nothing" Mina said shortly and hid her face.

"No, I know someone has hurted you, please tell me the truth, who is it?"

Mina sighed and looked at Chaeyoung. A moment of silence passed before Mina started speaking with her low voice.

"The rude girl punched me before the performance started, so I had to wear a blindfold the whole time. Sorry"

Chaeyoung looked at Mina with sad eyes. Then she slowly hugged her.

"I'm sorry for not being beside you when all this happened" Chaeyoung whispered in Mina's ear.

Mina smiled and pulled away to look at Chaeyoung's face.

"You shouldn't apologize, you were always with me. You were in my heart"

Chaeyoung cringed.

"This penguin has become cheesy" Chaeyoung chuckled.

"Yah, I'm not!" Mina whined and hit Chaeyoung.

Chaeyoung let out another chuckle and started feeding Mina the soup.

"I heard this is good for your health"

"Ehh?"

"Don't worry, Dahyun made this, not me"

"No wonder why it tastes good"

"Yahh!"

Jeongyeon POV

I was sitting on my phone when I caught Momo focusing on her homework from afar. I checked the clock and it was almost 9 pm. I sneaked over to her and back hugged her with my blanket.

"Omo" she startled and looked at me.

"Momoring, I'm bored" I rested my head on her collarbone.

"I'm almost done"

"Yah, don't be like this" I jumped at her and made her fall.

Momo chuckled and hugged me.

"I'm kidding" she said and pinched my nose.

"You know I love you right?" I smirked.

"Who wouldn't?" Momo smirked back.

"You sound like Nayeon unnie" I laughed.

"And you sound like a lame ass"

"I'm not!"

Momo laughed too and eventually sat straight and looked out of the window. I sat behind her wrapping both of my arms around her. We could see the lights in Seoul that made everything seem bright and beautiful. Even the darkness was breathtaking.

"Momo ya, I have a better place, here take my hand" I offered her my hand and stood up.

"Where are we going?"

"Wait and see"

I took her hand and went to the rooftop. We sat down at the edge and watched the bright sunset in front of us. And again Momo had that cute expression when she was scared. I smiled at her and hugged her tightly. She leaned her head on my neck and held both of my hands. Our fingers intertwined and I could feel the warmth rushing through me.

"Momo ya, you don't wanna miss this" I chuckled.

She slowly opened her terrified eyes again and looked at the view. A beautiful smile formed on her face.

"The view is so beautiful, I can't describe it. It's like falling in love again"

I could feel my cheeks slightly turning red. It was so rare that I blushed, but Momo's tired voice and words made me. I was staring at Momo's face again and completely ignored the view. I couldn't help but smile. Momo then caught me staring at her.

"Stop staring, you look like a creep" Momo stated.

"Sorry" I mumbled and looked away.

Then she suddenly cupped my cheek and made me look at her again. She wrapped her arms around my neck and smiled while staring directly into my eyes making my heart skip a beat. The atmosphere changed. I felt like I was recalling every single moment we've had together up until this moment where Momo changed everything. As I was drowning in my thoughts, Momo suddenly leaned closer and crashed her lips to mine. I closed my eyes. Ever since Momo entered my life, she had become something special that I can't live without. We smiled in between our kisses. This special kiss under the sunset had created a memory that I couldn't forget.

After a while, she pulled away and smiled.

"It's almost night, let's sleep" Momo whispered.

I took a glance at the sky and decided to go back to the room again. Momo laid on the bed while I was drinking a cup of water in the kitchen.

Suddenly, pain rushed through my lungs that made me choke on my water. I started coughing wildly that my throat started hurting. I rushed to the bathroom and felt like throwing up. I stared at the mirror trying to hold in the pain. My eyes started getting teary from my wild coughing. Suddenly, something spits out of my mouth as my cough got stronger. I stared at the place I accidentally spat at. It was blood.
