Chapter 30

Mina POV

"Mina ya, have you seen Chaeyoung?" a voice behind me made my heart freeze.

I turned around and saw Dahyun looking at me with worried eyes. What should I tell her? That my father kidnapped her? No way. I just couldn't speak.

"Is everything alright?" Dahyun came closer.

"N-no, I haven't seen her, sorry" I stuttered and bit my lip.

"It's okay, I hope she'll return home soon. See ya" Dahyun waved and left.

I sighed in relief.

I went inside my apartment and cooked some food. It didn't feel right. I felt empty. I missed someone by my side. I missed Chaeyoung. I missed fooling around with her in the kitchen. I missed throwing dough balls at her when she told me she was 'the best cook at our apartment'. I missed her presence when I was sick. I missed her holding my hands and telling me that everything was going to be alright when I wanted to anticipate in the dancing competition. When I wanted to reach my dreams, she was always there. I missed jumping from that bridge, with her by my side.

I smiled and looked out of the window. The whole sky was dark like it was made out of shadows. But there was only one shining piece of hope left. I looked at the only star that was above me.

"You can do it Chaeyoung; cause I believe in you"

I woke up realizing I had fallen asleep after staring at the sky for a long time. I still had my rice bowl in my hands. I quickly ate up and went to clean up in the kitchen. I then decided to take a shower and then sit outside for a bit. I sat down on the grass looking once again at the breathtaking sky, just like I used to do with Chaeyoung. I felt the cold breeze hitting my face making me shudder a little. I closed my eyes.

"Mina ya, I've missed you"

I heard the low voice I wanted to hear again. I smiled. Then I felt a kiss on my cheek. I opened my eyes and saw the person I believed would make it. My heart started beating fast, but neither violently or painful.

I stared at her eyes.

"I knew you would make it"

She smiled.

"I love you"

Then her lips met mine. My heartbeat immediately got faster. My cheeks felt hot and my feelings changed. I've never felt this way before, but I liked the feeling. My hands slowly reached for her neck and pulled her closer. Chaeyoung smiled again. Then she suddenly pulled back and gave me an eye smile. I pouted. She chuckled and gave me a peck. I couldn't resist her charm. She then laid down with me on the grass. But instead of looking at the sky, she looked at me.

"Mina ya, guess what?"

"What?" I chuckled.

"I've recorded a video secretly while I was being kidnapped, and I've sent it to the police for proof. Nobody can stop us" she caressed my face.

I held her hand and stared at her.

"Nothing can stop our love"

Momo POV

I woke up early to surprise Jeongyeon. She was still sleeping peacefully beside me. I took a glance at her and she was smiling in her sleep. Then I sneaked out of the apartment and went to buy Jeongyeon a gift. I really wanted to thank her for all that help she had been giving me all this time.

I went to the mall and searched for a present, then I found a really cute heart shaped necklace. I decided to engrave her name on it. I paid for the silver engraved necklace and left the mall. I smiled holding the necklace in my hand. I tried visiting Chaeyoung so we could surprise Jeongyeon together. I went to Mina's apartment to look for Chaeyoung there, but no one was home. Then I decided to wait a little and find her in the afternoon. I wanted to stay beside Jeongyeon the whole night, cause that was our favorite time of the day.
