Its been a year since...since i lost her.

I remembered that day like it was yesterday. The worst day ever to come to my own life, i could never get over it. I never would, and i never will. It haunts me everynight in my sleep. It never leaves me, the memory always stayed, i wish i could forget, but i never can. Its been a year since it happened, what happened exactly? let me take you back. Back to when my whole was worth living, back to when i was actually happy, back to when....

i still had her.

*One year Earlier*

Laurens POV

I was all ready to visit my friend, Vero, at the clinic. She was just really sick and i thought i could pay her a visit since i missed her so much. I grabbed my car keys and headed to the clinic she was in, St. Johnsons Hospital and Cancer Clinic.

I headed to the lady at the desk and asked her where vero's room was, soon i was in her room, sitting on a chair next to her nearly lifeless body not really lifeless, she just looked like she got all the blood sucked right out of her, she was really pale and skinny, i forgot what kind of sickness got to her... something about her lungs, and its really sorta deadly. I was worried about her, she typically was like a sister to me.

I held onto her hand, caressing it. "dont worry its gonna be okay vero", I whisper as i looked at her with sorrow.

Its been an hour since ive been in this hospital and god im hungry. "i'll be back vero!", i said to her as i headed to the door and out of the room, but she was still asleep.

I went down the hall and found a vending machine and saw lots of snacks inside "oh thank god!", i whispered as i ran to it, but with stupidity i didnt notice the door next to it as it opened, ramming me right in the face.

"hello..? are you okay?", i heard an unfamiliar voice say as i opened my eyes to a blurred sight, and i met eye contact with the most beautiful brown eyes ive ever seen. When my sight was focused again, i could finallu see her face much more clearer. Her smile was breathtaking, her eyes were paradise, she was perfect. But she was so pale, she nearly looked like vero and she had a machine and wires ong with it, attatched to her wrist...Yup she was a patient alright.

"Im so sorry i-i didnt know you were there are you alright?", i heard her say once more. I nodded slowly and felt my forehead. "Yeah im fine, no worries", i said back with a reassuring smile.

She smiled back and offered to help me up, but i told her its alright since she was a patient here, i didnt want to look bad. I got up and i could see i was a bit taller than her and she was so tiny.

"So um, im sorry again i-", she said but i cut her off, "its fine, so um im lauren, whats your name?". I asked her giving her a small smirk.

Camilas POV

"Its fine, so um im Lauren, whats your name?" she asked as i noticed she was smirking at me. I blushed lightly as i looked down to hide it and fiddled with my fingers, "um c-camila", i said back as i was startled and she lifted my chin to face her. God she was beautiful

i was mesmerized by her sea green eyes, her smile, i know this sounds corny but, she gave me butterflies i could barely even breathe. You know how some people believe in love at first sight? Yeah well now i do.

I looked into her eyes for a moment and she looked at mine. But she suddenly broke contact, "So camila, huh? thats a really cute name, you know?", she said as she smiled softly. I blushed again.

why must i blush every so often?

"your cute when you blush dont hide it, beautiful". She said with a husky tone.

god shes hot.

I suddenly coughed a bit and it hurts my chest, causing me to cough up blood. "oh god", i hear lauren say as she helps me. "are you okay? arent you a patient here?" she asked me as she wiped the blood off my cheek with her own sleeves. I nodded slowly, "want me to take you to your room?", She asked me as i nodded slowly

Shes gonna take me to my room....

We were in my hospital room and she helped my lay down on my bed and she sat right next to me. "Are you okay camz?", she asked me and my eyes grew wide, "d-did you just call me camz?", i asked her and she nodded, "yeah...whats wrong? you dont like camz?". She asked back with a sad tone, i felt like i hurt her feelings. "n-no i like it and im fine im just...Your quick at nicknames." I managed to say as fast as i could. She smiled and got closer to me, i could feel my heart beating faster and faster.

"Camz, why are you in the hospital?", she asked me with concern filled in her eyes. I looked at her straight in the eyes and smiled weakly. "Well...lauren i", i managed to say but i coughed again, having blood to cone out of my mouth but i covered it with a towel. Lauren rubbed my back for support, "y-you what camz?" she asked again in full curiousity and concern.

"Lauren... i have lung cancer". I managed to say as i looked down. Lauren lifted my chin up and looked at me deep in the eyes, like she was looking into my soul,

and suddenly i could feel sweetness. I could taste something like cherry chapstick and i just realized what she did.

She kissed me.
