Prologue-
It’s funny how things turn out. It’s quite hard to believe that only about a month ago I was a normal fourteen year old girl living through normal fourteen year old girl problems. Now I’m about to die at the hands of my enemies; the ones who ruined my life; the ones I wish could disappear.
I see him, the one I trusted who betrayed me, my other half, staring down at me with those deep blue eyes I used to admire before, which now look cold and cruel, awaiting my death.
He stands tall and proud, happy with himself for having been able to trick me. He has finally won the approval of his father, or, so he thinks. I also see my friends, the ones I’ve come to know in the past month, who stare at me worriedly, afraid of what will happen next.
I wonder how it came to be like this. As I glance to my betrayer, we catch each other’s eyes. I see a hint of hesitation; a flaw in his proud state. As I look at my life in the past month, I can’t help but think: He, my betrayer, is my only hope.
