I walk back to my room feeling numb. The event's of the past hour flashing through my brain like a slide show on repeat.

It's time for me to get ready for my meeting, which is in less than three hours. I should be nervous I know, but my mind is not even thinking about what could happen at this meeting.

My thoughts keep trailing back to Shawn, that almost kiss, and the fact that I wanted it to happen. I WANTED IT TO HAPPEN! What is wrong with me?

I mean sure, he's Shawn Mendes, any girl would be happy to kiss him if they had the chance. This is different, I have a boyfriend, and I'm not just a fan, I'm his friend.

I don't even know what to think of all of this, so I chose to ignore it and figure out what the hell I'm going to wear.

Looking like a hot mess like I did on my first day here is not an option. I have to look confident but not full of myself, professional but not too stiff, casual but not too casual.

Oh god, this is going to be hard, and I have to leave in less than two hours. I don't know what to do.

The most logical thing to do would be to call Sophie, I don't have time to tell her the whole story, thank god, but she could give me some advice. After all that's what best friends are for right?

I dial her number hoping that she's awake.

She picks up after only one ring, "Hayden?"

"Oh, thank god you answered I didn't know if you were up and I don't have much time to talk but I really, really need your help, bad", I say without taking a breath.

"Woah there tiger, nice to hear from you too"

I take a deep breath in before talking again, "I need your help with something really quick though Soph".

"Okay love, what do you need?", she says, her southern accent calming me down a bit. It reminds me of home.

"I need to know what to wear for my demo meeting today, like do I go with proffessional, do I go with casual? I don't know!"

I can hear her giggle from the other end and then I hear her whisper to someone on the other end.

I grin, "Hi Hunter!", I yell through the phone, knowing exactly who she's with.

"He says hi", Sophie tells me.

"tell him I love him and I miss him but this is not the time, I need to figure out what to wear"

"Okay babe, she says she loves you but we need girl time, outfits are more important than conversations with childhood friends you haven't seen in weeks"

My smile grows bigger at her sarcasm, "So what should I wear"

"Go basic, not too casual, but not overly professional", she says

"And that would mean?"

"Black blazer over a white tank, ripped dark jeans, and shiny black or white heels"

I sigh in relief heading over to my piles of clothes, "Wow Sophie what would I do without you?"

She laughs, "Oh you'd still be that shy little yearbook nerd who never walked in a pair of heels a day in her life".

"Hey!"

"okay that may be stretching it but you get the point", she laughs

"Thank you so much babe I'll call you back as soon as the meeting is over", I say with a grin as I tug on my black sparkly heels. Not exactly what Sophie recommended but I wanted to add my own touch.
