Month: Late October

ALYSON'S POV

It was really nice waking up next to Rocky again. He had moved back in entirely a couple of days after we all made up. Our house was under renovation, but it was so close to being done, it looked like we'd be moving in sometime before Rocky and Riker's birthday. Rocky was turning 20 and Riker was turning 23, and I really wanted to throw them a party. Rydel said she might be able to help me.

My oldest brother Grayson was getting married today. It would only be the fourth time my parents had seen me since I told them I was pregnant. They were doing better now with it, but you could tell my parents weren't entirely thrilled. I chose to not involve them with Rocky and the girl he slept with because it was in the past, forgotten, and my parents would give him hell for all of his days if I ever said anything, because they don't forgive easily.

I was showered and ready to go to the hotel. Although I hadn't seen my parents, Grayson and Rocky had actually kept up a good relationship. The Lynch boys, plus Ratliff, and my brothers were all really tight. They were so close that when one of Gray's groomsmen had to drop, he asked Rocky to help him out. Not only did that gain points from me, but it showed that Grayson really cared about Rocky and I's relationship and I loved that.

His fiancee Paige and I had always been friends, so I knew I would be a bridesmaid. I wasn't the maid-of-honor, but it was really okay, because of how much I had going on. The Lynch's were in attendance at the wedding, completely unkown to me that they were invited. Grayson really liked them, and figured that if Rocky and I were having a baby, and we were getting married at some point, that there was no better time then to invite them to meet our family and everything.

Rocky drove the two of us to the hotel, where he was meeting up with Gray and I was meeting the girls and Paige. My mom stopped us in the lobby, smiling widely, "Alyson! Dear, how are you? Are you well? How's the little girl!" She hugged me and Rocky. She turned her gaze away from him as much as she could without making it completely obvious, but we knew she still couldn't stand being too close to Rocky because I was pregnant with his child.

"All THREE of us are fine mom," I grabbed Rocky's hand, leaning on him. "That's good, that's good," she pulled something out of her pocket. "Here, here, do me a favor and put these on your left ring finger!" She handed me a silver band and an engagement looking ring, and she handed Rocky a silver band almost identical to mine. "Um, mom, are these Grayson and Paiges?"

She laughed, "Oh, dear, no! These are for you two," she said matter of factly. Rocky looked at me and his face read, "What the hell?" I turned back to my mom, "Mommy, why?" She crossed her arms over her chest, "Just wear them!" "All the respect in the world Mrs. Peters, why are we wearing rings?" Rocky asked politely, he knew how to treat my mom no matter how rude she was to him.

"Oh, well, here's the thing! You know how churchy your father's side of the family is, and you know how conservative my side is also, so when you told everyone you were pregnant, we told them you had also gotten married in a small beach set ceremony." I narrowed my eyes, "Mother! Now we have to pretend we're married?!" She nodded quickly, "Yes I mean you wouldn't want the family to think you were some sort of a skank, now would you!" "Melissa!" Rocky said to her, he rarely uses her first name, "Please, don't say those things. Alyson and I do love each other, we just don't want to lie,"

My mom rolled her eyes, I got that from her, "Please! It's not against you two of course, the family will think more highly of all of us if we have a wedded, pregnant 19 year old, instead of an unwedded, knocked up 19 year old." She hugged me and Rocky again and ran off. Rocky scoffed, "Hah, well she really knows how to talk to a person!" "Sure, she does," I rolled my eyes like my mother and reluctantly put on the rings. I had to admit they looked good on my finger, but it was for the wrong reason. Rocky and I would get married with something small, when we feel like it. Rocky put his on also, and we trudged off to the elevator.
