ALYSON'S POV

New Year's Eve was here and I felt so huge and I didn't want to get out of bed. "Please, babe." Rocky begged, "Your parents party is tonight there'll be people you know. Friends you haven't seen. And fireworks!" Rocky loved anything that exploded. I smiled, sitting up. "I guess we can go. Is it early?" "Eleven am." He said helping me up. "Wow, I slept a long time." He nodded, "Yes, you did." He kissed me and made a face. "I even love your morning breath." He laughed. I rolled my eyes, "Like yours is any better!" I chimed in. "I love you," he whispered, getting close to me again. "I love you too." And i went to get in the shower.

We made it to the party and I was so tired I could barely manage. We talked to my cousins and aunts and uncles. They thought we were married already. It was fun pretending, but I could sense Rocky feeling distant. 'Does he not want to get married?' I thought. 'Oh my god. That's why he didn't propose on Christmas. He doesn't want to get married anymore.' I got sad about it, but I continued holding Rocky's hand and talking to everyone. All I wanted was to go home and crawl in bed next to him. "You okay?" I said to him right before midnight, he looked over to me, "Yeah, I am. Are you?" He looked down to my belly. "Yeah," I nodded, "I'm tired. Maybe we should head out before and miss the traffic?" He shook his head, "No, no! We have to stay. Fireworks, remember?" I smiled weakly, "Okay," I said.

Everyone was inside when the ball was about to drop on television. Rocky and I were walking along the beach with all of the Lynches. We made a good crowd, Ryland had brought his girlfriend Savannah, Riker had brought Kelsie and Ellington was with Rydel. It was New Years and everyone had their significant other to kiss. Ross had even brought a girl named Hailey to the party. They seemed cute together, but I wondered if he was really into her, or just wanted a kiss at midnight. The moments counted down and I was still worried I would never go anywhere with Rocky. If he didn't want to get married, I was stuck. I wanted to be with him, but I wanted to get married. My head was spinning with questions and things I should talk with him about.

Everyone started to countdown "3...2...1! Happy new year!" We all shouted. I turned around to kiss Rocky and he was on one knee, holding up a diamond engagement ring and looking so nervous he could puke. "You make me happier than anything in the entire world. Alyson, I love you so much babydoll. Will you marry me?" He said, smiling. "I thought you'd never ask!" I yelled, pulling him up and kissing him. "So is that a yes?" He smiled, leaning into my face. "Yeah," I nodded, tears in my eyes, "Yes, yes," I smiled to him, kissing him again. He pulled away, "Happy new year!" He said, putting the ring onto my finger, "Happy new year to you too!" And he gave me my new years kiss yet again. 

ROCKY POV

I heard a chorus of claps behind us and I smiled widely at my lovely fiancée. She looked down at her ring and back up at me and smiled. "I love you," I said to her, taking her hand. I turned around to face my family, every single one of them was clapping and wooing. The fireworks flew in the night air and music started playing from inside the house. "Do you wanna dance?" I asked her. She looked up at me and smiled, "Yeah,"

Ellington and Rydel danced by us, along with my mom and dad. "Was that what you were expecting?" I asked. Alyson shook her head, "No, not at all. I had no clue you were going to do that tonight," She got up on her tippie toes to kiss me. "I love you so much, Rocky Lynch," "I love you so much Alyson Peters," I danced with her to Marry You by Bruno Mars, her brother had put it on for us. We continued dancing until my mom told us it was past one am. Alyson was looking really tired by the time we made it inside. Her mom and dad were cleaning up from the party and her mom stopped us from heading to the door. "Where are you two going?" "Home," Alyson said, I squeezed her hand. Her mom wasn't very kind to us these days, but Alyson was giving her attitude and that would only make it worse.
