Month: December

ALYSON'S POV

It was only a few days before Christmas and guess who was hosting this year? Rocky and I. Our house was done and Ross was moved in. I was huge and uncomfortable, but I still had to get through Christmas, New Years, and almost all of January. Riker and Kelsie are still together, and when she showed up at the Lynches for thanksgiving to see Rocky and I still together, she took it as a surprise. I pulled her aside and said that I forgave her and Rocky for what had happened and I wanted to move on from it. She faked like it was okay, but I saw right through her. I didn't want her to come to Christmas at our house, but Riker didn't know anything was wrong and I couldn't change that. She was flirty with Rocky and wouldn't let me near Riker. If I so much as looked at him she glared at me.

My family was upset I had spent Thanksgiving with the Lynch's and not them, so I invited all three brothers living at home, plus my parents to stay at our house with us for the holidays. Grayson and Paige, my oldest brother and his wife, were living with us until they moved to New York in the beginning on January. My parents were still really rude and I hoped that would change, but it wasn't looking too bright. I was due at the end of January and all I wanted was for everyone to get along.

My birthday had come at the beginning of December. I didn't want to make a big deal out of it, but I let Rocky invite a few people over to our house. I had turned 20, which was fun in itself, because I wasn't considered a teenager anymore.

I was a frantic mess, cleaning up my house. Stormie, Rydel, Ellington, and I were furiously vacuuming, dusting, washing, and fluffing every surface you could imagine. The boys had gone out to do last minute shopping of course, but Ellington, being the neatest, he had his shopping out of the way. The Lynches were coming over Christmas Day to spend with family also. We were having a huge Christmas Eve dinner at their house and they invited my entire family, which was so sweet. Kelsie was only coming to Christmas Eve dinner, however, because she was spending Christmas Day with her family and didn't think Riker should join.

I was finished with college for now. I would finish at some point, but I didn't have time anymore. My elves that helped me clean said good bye and I said thank you to them, before letting them head out the door. Rocky and Ross were supposed to come home soon and my family was due any minute. Paige and Gray had driven down to the family house to pick up a couple of siblings in their car and get the rest of Grayson's things from our parents house. I waddled up the stairs and changed into a dress and sandals that were cute and easy to move in, but made me look put together, as my mother aforementioned that I didn't look like I was enjoying being pregnant and I needed to smile and look better if I was in the public eye.

My mother had no clue what she was saying. The Lynch's weren't in the public eye like another band would have been. I can go out and not be followed. These fans are chill and nice to talk to. Not to mention, they send fan mail that contains baby clothes and items of necessity for new parents. They're really kind to me now. I laid down on my bed for a split second before hearing the garage door open and Ross talking as he came in. "Is she okay?" He asked, "I mean, she's just tired." Rocky replied, "Wouldn't you be, if you had been carrying around a growing human for 8 months?" I smiled, he was defending me. "I get that. Where is she?" Rocky paused, "Probably laying down before her parents and siblings get here."

There was silence before Ross spoke, "How are things going with Charlie and Melissa?" He said their names in a funny voice. "Um, okay I guess." Rocky seemed uncertain. I knew he was having trouble with my parents, "I just feel like I'm being treated a little unfairly." Agreed. "I mean, I think they thought we were irresponsible together, but they're putting the blame on me." Agreed. "And I feel like what happened was both our faults. But now I'm honestly excited to be a dad." I smiled as I lay down listening to their conversation. "I just hope I can survive this week with them. Her brothers are cool though," "Yeah," Ross said, "They are cool. Maybe you just gotta be really nice to them to get their blessing." 'Blessing?'
