I have a story to tell. It is all about a God. A god who sees no value in humanity. A self-serving God that only wants all the benefits for himself. He is a shitty God, but still, people worship him, not knowing what he really is. People kill each other defending their belief on a God that never really cared for them. Yes, violence here, there, and everywhere. Yes, I know what you want to ask me. These are the questions that runs through your mind: "What kind of man kills because of ideology?", "What kind of God justifies violence?". While here we are, begging for comprehension, these people and this God is tearing the world, sundering the world, crushing the world with their all so-self-serving motives that made no sense in logic. Yes, this is the reality of this world. If you are a God, you will be praised, worshiped, even with your twisted ideals. Monika made a realization to herself before sleeping.
Meanwhile, on a park near Sayori and Haruki's houses: "Hey, Haruki, isn't it nice to be alive?", Sayori asked Haruki who was sitting beside her on a wooden bench on the park while they are watching fireworks in a distance. "Yes, of course. Why are you asking me that?", Haruki answered. Sayori, who fell silent for a while, answered in a soft, cute voice, seemingly happy, "Just nothing, I am just really glad that we get to spend time together like this. Haruki smiled, then replied, "Have you ever heard the story of the fireworks?". Sayori, while watching the fireworks, just shakes her head in disagreement. "Here is the story of the fireworks", Haruki said while also watching the fireworks. "A firework is lit, then it flies up high in the air. It never fell down, but rather it explode beautifully in the air", Haruki said, "From the time it was lit, it already was so beautiful, and it never lost its beauty as it flies through the air. When it explodes, it will become more beautiful. But after that, it's gone, so we should enjoy it's beauty while it lasts.", Haruki added. "Why are you telling this to me? It's like common sense already.", Sayori replied with a cute but seemingly annoyed voice. "Well, here Sayori", Haruki said to Sayori who looks really annoyed,"The fireworks is like our life. The time it was lit is also the time that we are born. From the day of our birth, life is already beautiful. From that day, we fly higher and higher everyday, just like the fireworks, but life never lost its beauty. One day, when we become good adults, we explode like fireworks and life will just become more beautiful with a family that loves you. But, all good things must come to an end, and after that, we'll lose that beauty in just a blink of an eye, like fireworks. So we must enjoy our life while it lasts", Haruki told Sayori who seemed to be in tears and not annoyed anymore. "Haruki, I really thought you were just teasing me when you told me about the fireworks", Sayori said, "And with that, I decided that tomorrow, you will join a club!", She added excitedly. "Well, I don't know about that. I'm just not good at anything", Haruki replied. "No, you are. That fireworks story is really good.", Sayori told Haruki with a down voice,"I will help you find a club tomorrow". "Yes, maybe, but we should go home now. The fireworks are already gone, and it's getting cold.", Haruki said to Sayori, "Maybe we'll discuss about me joining a club tomorrow, okay?", Haruki added. "Yes", Sayori nodded in agreement.
When Sayori got home, she is preparing herself to sleep. She puts on her night clothes that seems so fit for her short and cute physique. The fit clothes shows the curves of her very feminine body. When you see her, you can't believe that she is just 17 years old. Her short hair seems really fit for her, so it doesn't matter.
While Sayori is on the bed, she thinks of their conversation with Haruki. "Why am I falling for my best friend?", she said to herself while obviously blushing,"It doesn't feel right. I want to have him all for myself", she added. Sayori called her classmate, Monika, saying she'll introduce a new member to the club tomorrow. She also called her friend and fellow literature club member, Natsuki, to bake cupcakes for a welcome present for a new club member. She just wants to spend time with Haruki more, since they haven't spent much time with each other since they got to high school. Then, after that, she eventually just fell asleep.
Morning came, Haruki was walking to school, when Sayori called him. He told to himself, "I saw an annoying girl in the distance, running towards me. This girl is my childhood friend, Sayori". "Hey, you're joining a club, today, okay?", She asked Haruki. "Yeah, yeah, I'll check some clubs today, and try if I can find one that suits me", Haruki replied. "It's a miracle that you woke up early today.", Haruki retorted to Sayori. "Well, your joining a club, and all. So I tried to wake up early to catch up to you and ensure that you would join a club.", Sayori said . The morning just goes like that, walking to school while having small talks.
Afternoon came, the time when you smell the dust of chalks that came from the board eraser, that time when you hear voices of students echoing everywhere inside the campus. Yes, that time, Haruki saw an annoying girl in front of his desk, the same annoying girl that's been his friend since childhood. "Hey, you're looking for clubs now, right?", the annoying girl told Haruki, "You could check out my club, if you like.", she smiled. "I'm not really good on literature, I'm just a manga and anime fanatic, so I should really check the anime club first,", Haruki said. "I even told Natsuki to bake cupcakes for today", the annoying girl said, seemingly down. "you should at least try the literature club.", she added. "Hayss...Alright, I will at least go for the cupcakes to not get to waste", Haruki said. "This is the day that I sold my soul for cupcakes", Haruki retorted to himself.
Haruki's point if view:
As me and Sayori entered the room of the literature club, I saw 3 beautiful girls inside. "Good afternoon everyone!", Shouting while opening the door. "This is Haruki, my friend, who is interested in joining our club", she said. The club is full of beautiful girls, girl 1 is an elegant-looking, tall girl with long hair, while girl 2 is a cute short girl that also had her charms. Girl 3 is someone i knew, a classmate of mine when I was first year, it's Monika. "So this is our new member?", girl 2 said with a big smile and confident voice, "Now you brought a boy to the club, Sayori", girl 2 added. "We-- Welcom-- Welcome to the club.", girl 1 said, seemingly shy. "Oh, c'mon Natsuki, you aren't trying to drive away our new member?", Monika retorted to girl 2, so her name is Natsuki. "Well, Yuri is the one who looks like driving away our new member", Natsuki said, referring to girl 1, so she is Yuri. "Wha-- what are you talking? I, I just want to welcome our visitor as a greeting", Yuri said. "Enough of that, girls, let's not try to scare him out of the club." Monika said. It's very nice to see familiar faces once in a while. "So what kind of literature do you read?", Monika asked. "Manga", I replied shyly. Monika's face seemed disappointed. "Do you like horror stories?", Yuri asked. "I read a horror book once", I answered. I saw Yuri's face seems disappointed and satisfied at the same time. "Well, Monika, I thought you're on the debate club?", I asked Monika. "I quit the debate club. Most major clubs are a hassle, with all their politics and all", She replied. "Shall we eat the cupcakes now?", Sayori, who seemed to eat a lot but doesn't get fat, said. "I'll make some tea, to celebrate our new member in the club', Yuri said. "Wait, I didn't said I'll join the literature club yet!", I exclaimed. The four girls seemed disappointed and down. Why am I so weak with these stuff?? "Alright I'll join the club", I said. This really is the day that I sold my soul to cupcakes and these 4 girls' charm. Now they seem to lighten up a bit. "Yey!", They all exclaimed, and the joyful atmosphere of the club was back.
"Is this a poem?", I asked while holding a piece of paper with something written on it. Natsuki hastily grab the paper and crumple it. "Don't read it!", She exclaimed. "You should be more confident in sharing your poem, Natsuki", Monika said. "Poems are a way to express our inner self that lies dormant within the field of our consciousness, they are like words that wont have meaning unless you share it to someone", Yuri added confidently, with the looks of an expert who is telling what to do. All members of the club looks all shocked on what Yuri said and looks at her. "Ehh-- Di-- Did I.. Did I just say that??", Yuri wonders with a very embarrassed look, "I did something wrong. I'm sorry", she added while hiding her face behind her hands on the desk. "Well, Yuri, you didn't do something wrong, so stop apologizing", I told Yuri as she utterly murmurs the words, "Im sorry". "Oh? I didn't?", Yuri uncovers her face, seemingly recovered from the embarassment. "You haven't done anything wrong, Yuri. You were right that we should express our feelings in poems and share it with others", Monika said, "With that, we will be writing one poem everyday and share it to the members here, so that we can develop our confidence in sharing our poems", Monika added.
With that, the club meeting was concluded.
"Hey, let's go home together, Haruki", Sayori said. "It's been a while since we go home together, hasn't it?", she added. "Yes, I guess it won't be a problem.", I answered, smiling.
Thus my day was concluded joining the literatureclub.
