I paused. I couldn't find a word to say. This can't be true. I read the lines again but it explained clearly.

No doubt.

Ito ang dahilan kung bakit kailangan kaming hatiin sa dalawang grupo. The peace and unity of this place must be maintained for everyone.

I closed the book and massaged my temple right away. I was too tired to review everything about this place. Nilagay ko ito sa ibabaw ng table ko at hinayaan itong nakapatong lang doon.

I have to get away from it. Kailangan kong magpahinga.

Pumunta ako sa tapat ng bintana at binuksan ito. I was expecting to see the moon with its wild yet alluring appearance. But it wasn't there.

Hindi ngayong gabi. Ngayong gabi ay itim na itim ang kalangitan. Walang mga ulap. Wala mga bituin. Wala ring mga ilaw sa buong paligid ng Nightshade Academy.

Nakakatakot, I whispered.

Isang malamig na hangin ang sumalubong sa balat ko. I closed my eyes and put my arms around me. Hindi ko alam pero bigla na lang dumaloy ang mga luha ko sa pisngi ko.

And the most horrible feeling I have ever felt in my entire life, came over me again. I have never felt so utterly and completely lost. And the worst thing is that, I feel that there's a place out there where I truly belong.

But I just can't find it.

"Bakit ka umiiyak?"

"Tristan!" gulat na sigaw ko sa kanya.

I totally jumped and my heart began to pound violently. Parang hindi ako makahinga sa sobrang gulat ko sa kanya.

"Are you not going to invite me in?" tanong nito.

He was sitting on my window while looking at me. I blushed and turned my eyes to somewhere else.

"No!" mabilis kong sagot sa kanya sabay sarado ko ng bintana.

Hindi ko alam kung anong nangyari pero nakita ko na lang siya sa gitna ng kama ko- nakahiga siya doon habang binabasa ang libro ko.

"Ano bang kailangan mo sa akin?" inis na tanong ko sa kanya.

"I want to rest," sabi niya tapos tumalikod na sa akin.

"Tristan, are you aware of what you are doing?! Bawal itong ginagawa natin. You are a Distinct Blood and I'm just an Average Blood. We shouldn't be together!" I reminded him about the rules.

Umupo siya sa kama ko bago nagsalita ulit, "Why were you crying?"

Napapikit ako sa tanong niya. He's trying to change the topic again.

"Why are you doing this?!" I said, losing my patience to him.

"Because I want to see you," sabi niya habang nakatitig sa akin.
