Penny - He's Alive?!

I'm overcome with emotions as Talon sits down next to William opposite Kayla and I. Grief, shock and anger flow through my bloodstream. I have so many questions...!

'I... you're not- I'm sorry.. I thought-' I stutter, struggling to make full sentences and not burst into tears. Cut me some slack, thinking you've murdered your crush, not hearing from him in 3 months and then suddenly seeing him - looking FIIIIINE in his uniform - at your school it hard!

He grins with a twinkle of mischief in his eyes. Even with the emotional turmoil I'm now going through, I can't help melting. His hair is in it's usual spiky style, and is wearing the same uniform as Will, except instead of white he has purple

'It takes more than one hell of an explosion to kill me, Pretty Penny.' he says, moving his toungue over his teeth and waggling his eyebrows.

I sit there, rooted to the spot like a lemon and both of the Claw's burst out laughing. Kayla follows suit, and I can't help it but so do I.

'OH. EM. GEE.' Kayla says, seriously after laughing. 'I am SOO getting this on my podcast.' she continues, fumbling for her phone. Wow, Kayla and her podcast. Talon and Will look at each other and raise their eyebrows - adorably if I may add, as Kayla brings out her phone.

Kayla's podcast, the AgentCast as she calls it, started when she 'interviewed' me about my first solo mission. It went viral, and she has thousands of listeners.

She pulls up her app and starts recording.

'What's up AgentCast peeps, today we have some biiig news!' she says into the plug-in mic. 'So, if you were listening, you'd know that Penny from the HQ on her first solo mission killed Talon Claw accidentally. After that, MAD was on a hiatus and guess what.' she continues dramatically. 'Talon is ALIVE and RIGHT HERE at Southend's School for Agents!' she says excitedly.

'Can I ask you some questions for the listeners?' she asks Talon eagerly. You should've seen his face. I swear I wish I have a camera, he looks like a deer caught in the headlights of a car!

He blinks twice before snapping back down to Earth. 'Oh.. uhh sure?' he replies awkwardly. 'Awesome! So Talon, how did you get away?' she asks him. I roll my eyes, obviously she'd jump straight to that. I mean, as keen as I was to know what happened it's just-- wow. She didn't even ask how he felt! Wait... am I being overprotective over my arch-nemesis?! I definitely do not care at all.

'The thing Penny keeps forgetting is that I have rocket boots. As you probably know, when I crashed into the silo of grain I landed on the lighter. What Penny obviously didn't see was me stumbling from the explosions before flying off.' he replies. I mean that would make sense but how come he has no injuries?

'And do you have any injuries?' Kayla asks, practically reading my mind. Talon looks nervously over at William and Will shakes his head. 'No, I'm fine.' he replies. I don't believe him. I was there! I saw how big those explosions were!

'So why was MAD on hiatus?' Kayla questions him. 'This is just a podcast not an interrogation right?' Talon replies jokingly, earning a glare from both Kayla and myself.

'Fine fine.' he says putting his hands in the air even if the podcast listeners couldn't see this. 'Uncle Claw was just worried that after what happened I may still be "traumatized" I'm not, just to make that clear. He paused all missions for a few weeks, but don't worry, soon MAD will be back and better than ever.' he finishes, smirking. (WHY IS HE JUST SO CUTE D:)

'Final question Talon,' Kayla tells us, mainly him but he looks at us all. 'What are you doing at Southend's?' she asks. Thank god, I kinda thought she was gonna say something else.

He shrugs. 'I'm here to improve on some basic skills. As my Uncle says, "I have the difficult stuff, but I spent so much time on the complex bits that I didn't do the easy parts". And don't get me wrong, I can do them but not as well as I should be able to if you know what I mean.' he says honestly.

'Thank you for your time Talon.' Kayla tells him formally. She disconnects his mic and launches into her outro. 'That's all from Kayla on today's AgentCast, stick around for the top news in the teen agenting world!' she says before ending the podcast and unplugging her mic too.
