Talon - What's In It For Me?

I hear a key clunk in my cell door. Great. Let's get this interrogation shit over with.

I stand up and turn around to deliver a sarcastic quip to Quimby, but shut it again when I see Pretty Penny at the door.

'Hey hey Pretty Penny!' I greet with more cockiness in my voice than the last few days. She rolls her eyes, but I can see a smile tug at the corners of her lips, which makes me feel so much better.

'So, you coming MADboy?' she asks with a grin. Now it's my turn to roll my eyes as I follow her down the corridors.

She smiles smugly and cuffs my wrists together and leads me into the interrogation room. She doesn't notice my bracer - obviously she's wonder why it hadn't been confiscated if she saw it. Well, the Chief had tried to take it, and when he removed it the holo-disguise on my arm disappeared, and embarrassed he gave it back - after hacking it so it had no power other than the disguise of course.

She sits down in front of me and pulls a serious face. I can't help it - I burst out laughing. Her facial expressions changes from confusion to frustration to laughing with me, which admittedly makes my heart burst with joy compared to being locked up in a small ass cell losing my mind. Legit I asked Quimby if it was violating my human rights - and he replied with "Well you should've though of that before you joined MAD" and promptly walked off.

I stop laughing. 'Let's get this over with then.' I say with a sigh. She immediately settles to seriousness again, before addressing me formally as if this was rehearsed.

'As you'd know, MAD has the President.' she states. I sit back and nod with a smirk. She ignores my cockiness and continues. 'Now we need to know why - and not the ransom, the other reason.' she says coldly. I raise my eyebrows, and then a wave of shock flushes over me. I hide it quickly.

'And what's in it for me?' I ask with a smirk.
