'This place is a maze!' I groan, still sprinting and narrowly missing a wall. I slow down so Penny can catch up, we're both panting.

'Let's think about this... logically.' she says, between pauses of rapid breathing. I nod. 'Pass me the screen and I'll find the quickest way to the bomb.' she orders. Penny pulls up her Code-X screen and I flick my bracer screen towards it, merging our gadgets together. I grin at her, and she smiles back.

'High five?' she offers her hand. My grin widens at this, and I high five her. 'Teamwork!' I yell, and she laughs.

'Oh, I know where this is!' she says, looking at the screen again. 'Grab onto me Penny.' I command. She squints her eyes curiously at me, and it's so cute I think I'll die. Eventually she wraps her arms around my neck, and I wrap mine around her back. 'Now, where are we going?' I ask, activating my rocket boots.

'Wait-- we're flying?' she squeaks in fright. I chuckle. 'You'll be fine, you trust me right Pretty Penny?' she nods over my shoulder. My heart is melttttiiiiinnnnggggg. 'O-okay.' she replies nervously. I launch into the air and she yelps, burying her head in my shirt. I sigh.

'I still need some navigation princess.' I say, and I can see her blushing. 'Take a right here.' she commands.

-A bunch of boring flying later-

'Is this it?' I ask inquisitively. 'It should be...' Penny says, jumping off of me and standing on her own two feet. I de-activate my rocket boots and land. 'It's really dark in here.' I observe. The room we had located the bomb to be in was in a basement bunker directly under Chief Quimby's office. It looked like it had some filing cabinets, and a couple of desks but that's about it. I can't make out anything else because of the lack of light.

'No shit Sherlock.' Penny replies sassily, and I pout. I know she won't be able to see it in this light, but it's the thought that counts right? A loud, long, high pitches wail fills the room. I instinctively grab her arm and pull her close to me.

'T-Talon... what-what was that?' she stutters in fear, she's shaking. I pull her into a tight embrace. A tear drips down my cheek. 'That my Pretty Penny, was the-- the bomb.' I say, barely containing chokes of tears. She looks up at me in pure horror, all confidence gone, and even as I blink after that her bright blue eyes and facial expression of distraught burn in my mind.

The wail rings again, except higher and shorter. The frequency increasing every four beeps. 'Check your Code-X and check if anyone's still in the building Penny.' I order softly. She sniffs, before nodding. 'It's just us.' she replies, looking at me sadly.

I smile through the tears, and cup my hands under her chin, gaining confidence at her blush. 'Well Penny Brown, there's no other time but now to say this. I love you.' I tell her, gazing into her blue irises. 'Talon Claw, I love you more.' she replies confidently, looking into my eyes.

In the moment after that, we kiss. I've never felt anything like this before. The passion - it felt like my everything was on fire. I am officially the happiest I've ever been in my life. I knot my hands in her hair and she does the same, the kiss getting faster and faster until an ear-bleeding screech echos through the room, and everything goes white.
