Namjoon looked out over the crowd. There must have been at least 300 people there to see him, all washed over in the dim purple light of the underground club. He gulped slightly, a thin layer of sweat forming on his dark skin, clutching his mike tightly. He wasn't exactly a celebrity, but he had a fair share of fangirls with cheap, tacky t-shirts with his face on. It inflated his ego like it was nobodies business, knowing that such fine young women thought about him daily, his 11K twitter following being 98% girls, after all.
The MC bounced onto the stage, the crowd roared when he swung his arm around Namjoon with a smile, his dreadlocks flowing over his deep blue windbreaker jacket.
"Rap monster~! We ain't seen in you in a long time, brother. How you been?" He asked casually, pointing his mic at the rapper.
"I've been good, man. Been good." Namjoon, or Rap monster, shrugged his shoulder cockily, his head slightly tilted so that the people in the front row could see under his futuristic shades, his dark curls reflecting the purple light. At that slight gesture, a cluster of girls began to chant his stage name and Namjoon blew a kiss in response, only making the girls chant louder. The MC laughed at his actions and stood up straight.
"Now, as we all know, tonights the big night," The MC began, "You, the legendary Rap Monster, versus Daegu's pride, Agust D. Are you ready?" The MC twitched his eyebrow and Namjoon nodded in response, pulling the MC in for a shoulder bump. The MC darted to the edge of the stage and threw his hands up, making the crowd roar once again. Music was Nmajoons life, it flowed through his veins and swirled inside his head. It was in his DNA. He was born to be a singer, and nobody was going to take that dream away from him. The heavy bass of Namjoons solo begun, and the rapper became one with the low beat, tapping his foot to the rhythm until he could find the worlds in his head and began to belt out his well-crafted lines, the crowd jumping in time to the bass line, singing along to the choruses. Namjoon savoured the feeling of being absolutely worshipped, he was the alpha male in that moment and nobody could take that power away from him, not even Yoongi. He knew Yoongi was probably backstage right now, cursing and tweeting about how shit Namjoon was- It almost made Namjoon laugh mid-performance. The song came to an end, and the sea of faces continued to chant his name as, once again, the MC came into view.
" Shit, Rap monster! That was dope!" He cried, fist bumping the rapper who was smirking to himself, knowing the rap battle was coming up soon. Namjoon was nervous, but he'd never admit it. He knew Yoongi had some skill when he could be bothered to pull it out of his ass, but he doubted hed bother tonight. Surely... No, of course, Yoongi couldn't beat him- he was called Rap monster for a reason. During the time that Namjoon had been re-evaluating his decisions, the MC had introduced Yoongi, a choir of "Boos!" moved through the air, targeted at the incoming rapper. He gave an icy look to the MC, making him physically move out of his way. Just as the MC was about to speak, Yoongi took the mic from his hand and sighed, practically in Namjoons face.
"Let's get this fucking over with."
He threw the mic on the floor, crushing it beneath his shoes. The audience continued to make a ruckus as the MC spoke to the DJ, concerned with Yoongi's behaviour. Just like that, the music began, and Namjoon took the opportunity to spit first, cussing Yoongi and his hometown, as well as his talents and overall looks. His dedicated fans, or ARMYS, moved to the beat once again as Namjoon got up in Yoongi's personal space, throwing his fists around as he continued his long line of insults, but Yoongi seemed completely unfazed. His dark, cold eyes locked with Namjoons as he tilted his head to the side, arms crossed over his chest, his silver and gold chains glistening. Namjoon was struggling to keep up his big strong facade, and rounded up his section with a loud "What?!" Dropping his mic and shuffling backwards, biting his lip bravely. The crowd went wild, chucking their hands up in the sky. After the crowd died down, Yoongi started down at the mic.
"You expect me to pick that up?" He asked nobody in particular with a laugh. Yoongi didn't come alone, he had a few of his fans somewhere in the back of the crowd and they all chuckled along with the rapper. Namjoon swallowed thickly, watching as the MC nervously handed the mic to Yoongi. He stepped forward, facing the crowd.
"Good evening you ugly bastards. My name is Agust D, and I hope you have a shit night." He stepped back and paraded over to Namjoon with an innocent grin on his face before all the lights went out and the track began to play, strobe lighting now illuminating the club. Yoongi jumped around the stage, the audience becoming riled up by his performance, slowly beginning to bop to the beat. It was when Yoongi began to sing his chorus that Namjoon felt his stomach twist.
"A to the G to the U to the S-T-D!" He screamed, the crowd joining him in chanting his name, Namjoon being forgotten in the far corner of the stage, his blood beginning to boil, Yoongi spitting fire as Namjoons previous fans began to call out for Yoongi, trying to touch him as he continued his song. The beat then slowed down, and he walked back over to Namjoon with a smile, his innocent smile once again plastered on his face.
"I'm sorry I mean it I'm sorry, I'm sorry for taking away your source of income, boy.
I'm sorry I reject fury- Your mom's going to be sad when you lose your only asset, health."Yoongi raked his hand through his hair, cocking his head more and more to the left side of his body nonchalantly.
"I'm sorry, you should change your job, Your ability to make yourself look like a moron is extraordinary so change your job, boy-
I'm sorry I mean it I'm sorry-
I'm sorry that your rapper sucks compared to me"Yoongi once again took off to the front of the stage to chant his name with his newly found fans.
" A to the G to the U to the S-T-D, I'm D boy because I'm from D. I'm the crazy guy, the lunatic on beat-Sending listeners to Hong Kong with my rap my tongue technology!" He threw his mic at the MC, walking off stage, leaving Nmajoon flustered and completely speechless.
It had been a few months after that rap battle that Yoongi and Namjoon crossed paths again. They had both given up on a rapping career- Yoongi was a successful rapper, but he found more money in drugs and therefore pursued that job instead. Unlike Yoongi, after his defeat that one night Namjoons rap career died and dwindled, and Namjoon soon became a gangster, and was looking for a gang to support him, and eventually convinced Yoongi to become his right hand man, and together they settled their differences and grew as men and mobsters, and now they were two of the most feared men in the whole of South Korea, and had the challenge of training a young, beautiful woman to become of their men. Yoongi and Namjoon changed their silly stage names to Suga and RM, as to fit their mysterious personalities. Both men were more than capable of lulling you into a lifestyle not fit for a respectable woman, but more for a dog. They had done it before, but that young lady passed away under the 'caring' hands of Jungkook, and the team barely trusted themselves now with such a fragile woman like you. Layla, the last mafia girl they had, was merely a toy to them- but they never accepted that until she was dead in the very room that you sleep in every night, a gunshot in her chest and a dashed line across her porcelain throat. In fact, Layla used to be one of your girls, but she 'mysteriously' disappeared. The boys promised that they would never reveal their dark secret, but all things come out with time, its just a matter of who, when and where.
