The past few hours were spent arguing who would go talk to Vanellope, where Wilbur's argument was he should go because he's leader, Hiro's was because he's got a power like her, he's good at persuasion, and Vanellope's doctor wouldn't let Wilbur anywhere near her because he's the son of a big time scientist.

"Well then why should you go?  You are a scientist," Wilbur retorted at the time.  He was flustered about the fact that he's losing yet another argument.

"Because he didn't even know of me until today.  He's willing to risk it because he wouldn't be afraid of me sabotaging his work."  As soon as he said that everyone in the room was silent, not a single person confused until Penny had chimed in, asking if I could go because I'm a stranger too and I have had a power like she does for a long period of time as well.

I had immediately shot that one down faster than it came up.  Thank goodness that argument didn't stay up for long.

"Back!"  Hiro calls out into the garage, closing the doors behind him.

"Let me guess," Wilbur groans.  "You weren't even able to talk to her."

"No, I was able to talk to her alone."  Penny snickers, receiving the hidden message in the word "alone."

"Then where is she?" Wilbur asks, looking behind Hiro for the girl everyone is talking about.

"You know, unlike the rest of us who decided right away, she made a wise decision in asking for time to think."

"What's there to think about?" Wilbur snaps.

I stare at the boys in shock, the dislike for each other so harsh an empath would have a heart attack.  Hiro just glares before answering with "you tell me, Leader, you're supposed to be the bond between us all."  Hiro then stomps right back out, Wilbur lingering for a second before walking towards a wall and punching it.

Why are those two clashing?  I look over at Penny to see her shrug in my direction, only for her to distract herself with her suit.  "I bet you're confused about those young nerds and their battles," a voice states wisely behind me.  Dr. Robinson comes into view, his hands in his pockets as he watches Wilbur attack the wall.  "Those two are both used to being the head of a group, may it be family, or just as an only child."  Dr. Robinson gestures to Wilbur before continuing.  "My son isn't used to sharing with others because he's always been an only child, but he is also used to working by himself when it comes to helping others.  Hiro, on the other hand," Dr. Robinson murmurs before looking at the garage door.  "Although he had an older brother, he's now used to being the head of the house, as well as being a professor in Technology.  It's very often people look up to him for answers or is the most educated."

"He had an older brother?" I ask, looking up at the father.

"That's not my story to tell, Violet.  The young professor is going to have to tell you about it himself."

I nod slowly, thinking about what I just learned.  "We were all brought here to become a team for a reason, though."

"That is true.  But like with almost any new team, the members must-"

"Learn to work together?" I ask, remembering how Dash and I first started out.

"Exactly."  Dr. Robinson smiles at me before pulling something out.  "But until then, we will have to work around it so... because you and Penny are from another time, you'll be staying in the hideout.  Is that okay?"

"That works.  How long until we get there?"

"I was just about to demonstrate how to use the teleporters."
