Having already missed school yesterday, there was no way I was going to miss teaching college today. A professor can't really miss teaching as often as I have already.
Here I am, standing in front of my class, attempting to teach a lesson with Wilbur moaning in my ear going "boring, boring boring."
And finally, halfway through first lecture I give in to his annoying voice and pull out my phone from my pocket and put it to my ear, pretending to answer a call. "Wilbur, I am trying to teach a class and you are annoying me. What do you want?"
"You aren't just standing there looking as if you're crazy, are you?"
"Out with it," I grit, ready to blow a casket.
"There are some fluctuations in the time stream and we need you back at HQ."
"Sorry, I'm not available, I'm teaching."
"Saving those kids is more important than teaching them, Hiro. Besides, isn't your lecture over about now anyway?"
"Wrong time zone! Wilbur, I am not in the mood for chit chat, is this an emergency or not?"
"..."
"Give me that!" I hear Violet yell in the background before some arguing.
It ends with a distant "Hey!" From Wilbur and a satisfied sigh from Violet, telling me who won.
"Hiro, I'm sorry Wil is being annoying. These fluctuations are somewhat an emergency, but you can wait till after this first lecture before you get here."
"Thanks, Vi. I'll be there later," I say before hanging up and throwing the phone into an open drawer and kicking it closed. "Alright, class, I'm sorry for the interruption. Where were we? Oh yeah, back to the Super Capacitors..."

"Alright, class dismissed, don't forget to review pages three hundred sixty one through three hundred seventy," I conclude after the bell rings, watching the students gather their things before grabbing my own.
"Are you okay, Hiro?" I hear someone ask. I face whoever it is and see my former team all looking at me with concern etched onto their faces.
"I'm fine, just a little irritated. A lot has happened the past couple days." I run my hands through my hair, still a little irritated. God, I hate teenage mood swings. Everything just sticks like a plague.
"Does it have to do with your new team?" Fred asks, a weak smile on his face.
"It does..." I look at all of their faces, noticing that they all look... upset? Oh, crap. "Do you want me to leave Baymax with you guys? It doesn't seem fair-"
"Oh, Hiro, no. You need Baymax. He's yours anyway." GoGo denies Baymax faster than I could offer him before she furrows her eyebrows. "Are you wearing contacts?"
"Um..." I look away, scratching my neck before lying. "Yeah, I wanted to see how blue worked."
"Okay..." Honey Lemon says without certainty. "Well, we have to get to the lab. Later, Hiro."
They all start walking away except for Fred as I wave goodbye. "So this is the side effect you called about," Fred states, his hand on his chin. "What ability did you have? Was it the invisible sandwich?" He smiles widely with excitement.
