I figured it out!  I have trouble writing the middle of the story, that's why I'm seventeen chapters through and I haven't even gotten to the important part of the story (also why I have so many unfinished novels)!  It may also be why one of my other novels went dark... anyway, to writing this chapter!

"You will pay for this!"  I hold my hands up as if to continue scolding me, but am interrupted with a vision... or is it a nightmare?  Well, I have another vision.

*vision*

I am held back in chains, rage controlling my body as I watch through the glass at my team.  They're all looking at me in fear... Why?  What has me so angry?  "I could have saved him!"  I hear myself scream, but it's not me.  It's definitely my body, but it's not me.  Something is controlling me.

'Oh, it seems someone is looking into his future, tch tch tch.  Wanna see further?  Wanna see the one who causes you to have so much rage?'  The vision changes to one where I'm holding a baby, a baby girl.  She has my eyes.  She has Vanellope's hair.  Then I hear the baby's laugh.  It sounds so much like Vanellope's laugh.

"She's gorgeous," I murmur before looking over at Vanellope as she lays in the hospital bed.  "Just like her mother."

'See this?  See that little baby?  You left her behind to be raised by a heartbroken mother.  A paralyzed woman who was too focused on her own pain to realize her little girl hadn't eaten in days.  You left your only child for a futile mission, and when you had a chance to say goodbye to your wife, my mother, you chose to run to Violet's past.  You ran to another girl instead of to your family.  You were a terrible example.'

*end of vision*

What caused that?  "Hiro?"  Wilbur brings me back to reality and I realize I had just been yelling at him, where in the beginning of the vision, I think I was under the control of someone, yet yelling just the same.

I need to talk to Dr. Robinson.

Dr. Robinson and I reach his lab and I stop walking, still frazzled by the vision.  "Hiro, what happened?"

"I saw a vision.  One where... one where I'm under the control of someone not-so-good."

"Under the control?"

"I think someone who can control others gets to me and I get into a rageful fit.  I'm not completely sure.  Halfway through the vision, someone redirects me to a different vision.  One that isn't important right now.  I need help ensuring that this won't happen to the team."

"What about you?"  Dr. Robinson furrows his eyebrows before folding his arms.

I sigh, trying to find a way to word this.  "I have insurance that I'll be turned back to normal.  The others don't.  Right now, my first worry is them.  Is there any way to prevent a technological device from controlling somebody?"

"You'd have to insert an anti-controlling device built specifically for the technology used to control someone.  We wouldn't be able to produce such an invention without the original technology."

"Then I know what to do.  It'll risk my life though."

"You're going to purposefully get yourself infected," Dr. Robinson thinks aloud, tapping his chin.  "That's a large sacrifice in the name of Science and Friends."

"Correction:  Family."  I fold my arms, certain of what I am willing to do and Cornelius's eyes practically sparkle.  "Then let's get to work."
