-Not From Here-I found my friend Connie next to my locker. When she saw me, she began to smile. Her round glasses were too big for her, but it made her look cute. She wore a black and white striped T-shirt and some jeans. Scenes of last week flashed through my mind. I set her house on fire, and I didn't even tell her. The police probably couldn't find out who or how it caught on fire.
"Hey," I greeted her and took out my books from my locker.
"Hey," she replied. She frowned. "I saw Miss Grumpyface walk in, so what happened?"
She calls me Miss Grumpyface whenever I'm angry. I didn't want to tell her what happened outside the school, but she'd always find a way to make me tell.
"A boy with blue hair just asked for my name all of a sudden. Like, what the heck?" I said.
"Talk about rude," she replied. I closed the locker and we started to walk to class. "Blue hair though? A few days ago, the news reported that group of blue haired teenagers were found killing animals in the forest. When the police reached the carcass, they left no footprints."
"Like they just disappeared?"
"Yeah. But here's the weird part. No one in our town have kids with blue hair. They're not from here, Odette, we better be careful."
I nodded. There was only one forest in this town. And that was the forest I walk through everyday to get to school. Well, I'll have to be very careful when I go home tonight. But he said he's just like me. I needed answers for my situation. He's gone now, for the better, I hope.
We reached the classroom. Just before Connie opened the door to our classroom, I felt a huge weight pressed upon my head, like someone was pushing me down. Some red colour energy were flowing upwards and I looked up. That was when I saw a bucket on top of the door. Connie is about to open the door—
"Watch out!" I pulled her aside just before the bucket fell and hit the ground with a thud.
Some people screamed, some people laughed. Connie was trembling. I looked into her eyes and saw fear. I followed her gaze and I saw the ground under bucket had a huge crack. I pulled her away and took a quick glance into the bucket. It was filled with solid cement. It could've killed her!
Laughter rang behind us and we turned around to see David and his gang. Ever since I lived in here at the age of seven, he started to pick on Connie and I. He would have pranks, but the pranks would get more dangerous.
I can't believe he tried to kill us. I looked at him and he had a huge smug on his face, but he looked proud.
"What a bummer, it was suppose to land on your head," he said to me. "How did you know it was there? Oh, I know. Cause you're an alien, freak."
People started to laugh.
"Shut up!" Connie yelled.
David stopped laughing and glared at her. He walked until he was in front of her, his face inches from hers.
"What did you say?" He asked her.
"I said: shut up. Do you need me to spell it for you, dummy?"
He lost it and lunged at Connie. His hands were on her neck, choking her. Shock struck me. I lunged at David and started to punch him.
