I was sitting on a log while Seth and Samtron were sitting on the ground. Suzanne and Samuel were laying comfortably on the branch of a big tree. They decided to move deeper into the forest so that no one would suspect us. Seth had to carry me on his back as I can't move well. It was awkward.

Samuel yawned and leaned against his twin. Suzanna growled at him but he just rolled his eyes. I tensed up when she growled. She noticed and mumbled an apology.

"What is Achillea?" I asked.

They looked shocked.

"Your parents didn't tell you?" Samtron asked, surprise in his tone.

"I can't believe them!" Suzanna exclaimed. "It's against the law. Those who migrated here with children must teach their children about our culture. And they hid it from you all this time."

"I don't. . . have parents," I mumbled softly.

They heard it, they are wolves after all. Their faces softened, even Samtron's. Slowly, they let their guard down, Samtron looked away, noticing me staring.

"Shall we start explaining?" Seth asked and his expression shifted quickly. I looked at Sam and Suzanna, even Samtron's expression turned happy all of a sudden. How fast could expressions and moods change?

"Just to be clear, we are not werewolves. We don't go all crazy when the moon is up, but we definitely do pee to mark territory."

His siblings laughed and I nodded awkwardly. Eww eww eww. Did they pee here too?

"Then. . . what are you?" I asked back. I tried to sit as far away as I can from them, who knows what they will do.

"Like I said before. We are Achilleas, a type of guardian of nature. We don't live in the human world, we live in a place where no man can find. We can turn into nature itself, you see. Like my siblings and I, we are from Kells, the wolf clan, so we can turn into wolves. In our world, there are many different Lands."

"There is Ava, the snake land. Jackens, the griffin land. Asbjørn, bear land. HuiLynn, fox land. Persha, seal land. And Miharu, deer land," Suzanna said in one breath. "I know, it's quite confusing. But you'll get used to it soon."

Samuel nudged her and she looked at him questioningly, but her eyes widened and she nodded.

"There are some who migrated to live in the human world. As long as they don't hide the truth from their children, they won't be in trouble," Samuel explained.

"So you're. . . ancients?" I asked.

They looked at me weirdly. They finally looked at their clothing and Samtron rolled his eyes.

"Oh, I'm offended," Samuel mumbled but I caught that.

"I didn't mean—"

"Our clothing is too old for you, eh?" Samtron cut in. He got up and walked towards me, dark veins popping out from his neck. "Just because you get to escape doesn't mean you can insult us. Your people, your colony!"

I flinched at his tone.

Your people, your colony!

His fangs were sharp, his cold words tore me into pieces. Samtron was pulled back by Seth who eyed him suspiciously.

"We have different clothing for different Lands," Seth said when Samtron is calmer.

"Just because we wear different clothing or use different weapons doesn't mean that we're racist. We're still Achilleas, we help each other because want to save Mother Nature."
